The murdered ambassador appears to be a very unattractive person at many levels. Ironically he got exactly what he and others in the US government engineered for Qaddafi. None of that really matters though.

No matter how reprehensible he may or may not have been, he was a representative of the United States. His status as an American emissary is what matters in our response, not his deficient or even malignant character. This wasn’t done to him because he was a reprobate individual; this was done to him because he was a representative and symbol of the United States.

The perpetrators must be made into examples of ‘don’t let this happen to you’.

It is not possible to separate the two in many places. America is viewed as a bastion of sin, the Great Satan.

To send a blatant sinner, acknowledged and known homosexual is to invite his death. Your statement about his involvement as reprobate is merely more reason to kill him. He becomes and example of what happens to a representative of a country that sends such sinners as their representative. That is merely icing on the Anti-America cake.
