The events in Operation Fast and Furious are eerily identical to those surrounding the arrest of General Ramon Guillen Davila, a CIA asset who was [indicted for] smuggling a ton of cocaine into the US [in] 1996, in what was described as an intelligence gathering operation, the problem being that no intelligence was ever gathered and that the ton was only one of many other similar shipments of cocaine that actually hit the streets of the U.S. by way of CIA agents.

Drop the Gary Webb/Maxine Waters theories about the CIA smuggling cocaine into the ghettoes in LA to keep blacks in the chains of addiction.
Webb’s evidence was just a “web of imaginary conspiracy theories”. At first it was the La Penca bombing of Eden Pastora, promoted by avowed saboteur Tony Avirgan and his them wife, Martha Westover/Honey (the latter changed her view and said that the Sandinistas did it).
Then you have the Alfred McCoy conspiracy theories about the CIA smuggling heroin into So. Vietnam. Problem is that it was No. Vietnamese/Red Chinese heroin, which was often captured on NVN or VC junks.
After we blasted a NVN heroin train off the earth, Hanoi changed its tactics in 1971 to send it by small boats to the South.
One of my sources for the Red Chinese supply angle was Fu Shu-ren, one of Mao’s bodyguards (at the famous Yangsi River swim). He had a special pass to travel throughout Red China and saw the poppy fields in Yunnan Province as well as the shipping container factory down there.
These same boxes were seized by Hong Kong, Pt. Macao and Dutch (Amsterdam) police. All the bags of heroin had Red Chinese “brand name” (”trade name”) imprints on them. Photos of this have been made public since the 1970’s.
There are real conspiracies and made-up conspiracies. Right now we have the Communists, the masters of disinformation conspiracies and assassination conspiracies (Markov for one), and the Islamic conspirators who have been at it since the 600’s AD.
Let’s deal with reality.
PS: Some of my best friends were OSS and CIA before they were officially established (WW II, Korea, Cold War, etc).
