I can see how it would have split the ABR crowd - some worship him and some probably now wonder why their world is shaking.

This is an accurate statement.

I am hoping that the OTHER elections taking place, as well as the Presidential one, will so fill the Congress with Conservatives that no matter WHICH evil or lesser evil is elected potus, that enough testosterone will be found among 535 folks that would overwhelm ANY Fascist, Marxist, Socialist tendencies that would DARE spew from the Oval Orfice!

There are 535 voting Members of Congress; the House of Representatives has a membership of 435 and the Senate has a membership of 100. Members of the House of Representatives serve two-year terms representing the people of a district. Congressional districts are apportioned to states by population using the United States Census results, each state in the union having at least one representative in the Congress. Regardless of population, each of the 50 states has two senators; the 100 senators each serve a six-year term. The terms are staggered so every two years approximately one-third of the Senate is up for election. Most incumbents seek re-election, and their historical likelihood of winning subsequent elections exceeds 90 percent.[1] In August 2012, a Gallup poll reported that Congress’s approval rating amongst Americans was at 10%, matching a 38 year low reached in November 2011.[2]

I too hope for big pick ups in Congress and Senate. The problem is that the Left has made such a mess that the first two years after the election will require hard decisions and pain - this will be poinc ed upon by the Left and their backers in the MSM and may very well turn the tide back to the disasters we currently have. If it happens as I fear, we can kiss our once-great Nation goodbye.
