Starting at 5 p.m. Eastern time today, Becks channel, The Blaze, will be channel 212 in Dish Networks 14 million households. It will be included as part of a 250-channel package, or available as a premium channel, for $5 a month, to those who receive a more basic package.
In sheer dollar terms, the deal is big but not gigantic for Becks company. Dish will reportedly pay a small per-subscriber carriage fee, which likely means 5 cents to 10 cents per month per household. In its first year, then, the agreement will yield subscription revenues of less than $16 million. Thats not earth-shattering for a man whose multi-media empire was already closing in on revenues of $100 million even before he signed a new five-year, $100 million radio contract.

True, but if you get a Roku, and the Amazon Instant Video channel you can get current episodes of all your favorite AMC shows. I dropped cable and now rely on the internet, AMZ VOD, and my digital antenna to give all the entertainment I need. The best part I save lots of $$$ and filter out the network tv garbage. jmo.
wow...and on a conservative forum
Also known as: Road Kill on the information super highway.
Just my observation but it's essentially a blog that includes loads of articles, glitzy graphics and videos. Glenn Beck apparently has the resources and inclination to cover lots of territory most of the MSM, including Fox, won't. VERY well done. If you haven't had a look around yet punch HERE
Probably true. It might even give a boost to a la carte teevee before it's all over with. Werksferme since I don't watch 90% of the channels I get anyway. BTW, I wonder how algore or oprah teevee is doing??? Not too well I hear. ;^)

Thanks I know it’s a blog, but I was wondering what the tv station would be like. But thanks anyway. :)
Oh, well, after having watched it off and on since last night I'll give you my impression: Simulcast of his radio program, news and commentary, interviews with some fairly heavy hitters -- so far. Production quality is very good IMHO. Glenn Beck's mission seems akin to the Enterprise; to boldy go where no media has gone before. Might work.

GB moving to Dish will be especially good for people who live in rural areas, with limited internet, or older people who may not be comfortable with computers.
In general, it's a brilliant because it will give him the ability to reach a larger audience.
I watch absolutely noting live and that includes FOX. I have never purchased an on-demand movie and doubt I ever will. I have Charter and they give us 20 mgb service, and no complaint with that. The bundle practice sucks, when you have to take an all or almost nothing deal which might save you twenty bucks. I probably have watched a half dozen movies from the movie channels or for that matter even on NetFlix.
I watch most of my stuff on the Computer which I have attached to my 55 inch Samsung. There is more entertainment on YouTube than you can ever watch.
Since when are half dresses “enhanced” women conservative?
I think you and I have far different views on female sexuality and the appreciation of that in general
that is true about youtube
for an entire 8 hour drive last week my boys watched Gomer Pyle reruns on my Droid Razr in the car all the way from Jackson MS to Nashville TN
they of course had never heard of it and were mesmerized
I came across The Blaze on Friday night.
Had it on ever since.
The Friday night show was outstanding!
It’s about time we got a real news channel.
