It’s interesting how the frog in the water thing has been so successful. I can remember when gas was $.25 a gallon but we would wait a day or two because Hudson Oil would always start a gas war and it would go down to $.19. Not too long ago I was real excited when it dropped to $3.22 for a day or so and made sure I topped my tank off while it was “only....”

Grams, you might be my age. I, too, remember the gas wars of the 1950s and 19c/gallon. I used to buy retread tires for $6 or $7 that fit my 1941 Olds. That was the time that McDonalds had 15-cent hamburgers, soon to inflate to 18 cents. I cut lawns for $1.00/hour.
