Meanwhile, a London think tank with strong ties to Libya speculated Wednesday that Stevens was actually the victim of a targeted al Qaeda revenge attack. The assault “came to avenge the death of Abu Yaya al-Libi, al Qaeda’s second in command killed a few months ago,” the think tank Quilliam said Wednesday.

I don't know about the Libyans, which were probably AQIM but in the 3rd page of the newspaper [instead of on the front where it should have been] the photo I'm looking at of the Egyptian mob has a white western looking guy wearing an Occupy-style Guy Fawkes mask on top of the wall, an arab wearing another one on the right , a white-blond haired guy in the crowd at the base of the wall amid the mob and there's anarchist graffiti on the wall along with poorly written Arabic chickenscratch. They aren't tea party but there's no denying that they have western lefty influence. I wonder if Galloway and Code Pink's pals are over there as they were before wen the idiot from Google was trying to play leader of the band?

It’s sad. An American diplomat died and I have to hold myself back from laughing at the deliberate cluelessness of the media, attempting to hide obvious truths about this.
The die hard muslims like the Taliban and the like are forbidden to carry out attacks without first issuing a warning. So in order to cover this religious requirement, when they are planning a surprise attack, they make up some pretense to justify it. Cart before horse. Plan something, then claim it was revenge for something unrelated.
In this case they are trying to stir up rioting across the middle east to make it more difficult for Israel to deal with Iran.
And Obama’s staff or some willing media dolt came up with the movie bullcrap to cover for the fact that acing Osama did not kill al-Qaeda.
A little known factoid is that the guy in charge of al Qaeda, Zawahiri, has always had cozy ties with the Iranians and is related IIRC to Ahmadinejad indirectly through marriage.
And Hezbollah’s been on the move too of late having recovered from the death of Imad Mugniyeh several years ago. Since neither Bush nor Israel spiked the ball on that kill we are not sure who exactly did it, but bless them, whoever it was.
