I bet you felt pretty darn good up to election day when your messiah figure told you this:

ROTFL!! Rush--A messiah? LOL! Dude, if I were to take your bet, you'd lose big time. Admittedly, for an "entertainer", Maha Rushie's opinions tend to reflect mine than most of those in Hollywood. So, frankly, I don't have the problem with his opinions, as you do. Plus, I don't hold ill-will towards him for being a capitalist.

But consider this: For someone who uses the moniker "sickoflibs", you seem to prefer to voice a doom and gloom opinion which only helps the liberal cause. I don't fault you for it. Even Rush, Coulter and Hannity say bonehead comments that only help liberals now and then, IMO. Perhaps your values are conservative like theirs, but, on the off occasion, when emotions are high or low, you tend to point negativity towards the wrong direction. That's an answer only you would know.

And since you seem to like to focus on an article from 2008, let's fast-forward and take your worst case scenario for November 2012:

Say, if after this election is over, and, in your words, BOOM!! Through all the Chicago-style tactics, trickery, thuggery, biased-media, fake polls, and voter fraud that the 0 will use: The 0 wins. Will I Blame It On Bush? Will I blame Rush, Romney, or you? Will I moan, groan and wallow in doom, gloom and sorrow? Hell NO! Life's much too short for that. I'll just calmly pick myself up, quietly dust myself off, and simply go with plan B. ;)

I won't bother asking what you would do. I'm only participating in this discussion to give my 2 cents and provide a food for thought. I would like to say, however, this has been an exhilarating discussion and exercise. I've actually learned a lot from all of this.

My best regards to you. ;)

??? Telling your listeners they are winning when they are losing is not helping them, or hurting Dems. It's like disabling all the indicators on your car because you dont like the readings. Or finding a blood pressure meter, scale, bood sugar test, or thermometer which tells you what you want the measurements to be so you can keep eating fatty saltly sugary food.

If you are losing (and big like 2006 and 2008) you should figure out why so you can make corrections. Not try to find someone like Rush to tell you everythings going great.

I was a huge Rush fan in the early 90s, Loved both his books and his TV show. But things have changed greatly since then and so has he.

The Republican party has many problems right now, but one of them is that they really haven't changed leadership since the disastrous 2007 and 2008 years :Boehner and McConnell and now Romney who is not that much different than Bush or McCain (he is probably more loyal to the party than McCain.) This is a big problem.

The other problem is that the R party is fractured and doesn't have a leader it trusts, where-as the liberals base of the Dem party trust and love Obama. They were starting to turn on him in 2009 and 2010 but Boehner taking over the House fixed that. So Democats unite and Republicans argue with one another. A strong winning trusted leader would unite Republicans (or even conservatives) as a team, and Rush is certainly not that person

We dont know how this election will turn out (unlike 2008 and 2010 which were easy to forcast) but Republicans are not doing very well considering the current climate.
