If Romney were going to “bend under strong and relenting pressure” he would have demonstrated an inkling to do so at the convention. He did not. The wishful notion that he will make a better - or less destructive - president than O is not based in reality. He will be worse, far worse because he will not be removable from office.
As a pretender O does not hold the office constitutionally. He is not even impeachable because he is not, in fact, a lawful president. O is a criminal ineligible for the office he holds. That he is in office is absolute and unarguable proof that our government and the majority of its elected representatives, including Republicans, are corrupt to the marrow.
With O we go down with a fight. With R we go down with a whimper. Let us not go silently into that dark night.
Good Grief!
I prefer that we not go down with a fight. I prefer that we prevail with a fight.
Voting for Romney is how we prevail. He is not a perfect candidate, but he is our immediate method of removing the current anti-American from the WH.
The minute that Romney is elected, he needs to be watched closely to keep him from sliding left. I think a Tea Party Candidate is a viable option for 2016. We need to start now to identify such a person. IMO, this person should start running now, and in order to prevent us from a split ticket which will turn the WH back over to the anti-American party, the plan needs to be that the Tea Party Candidate will cede support to Romney IF and ONLY IF he governs as a conservative.
This needs to be stated upfront, so that there is no feeling of having the rug pulled out from under us. It needs to be stated upfront so that Romney knows he is on notice and subject to losing all Tea Party support.
