On her Monday radio program, conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham ripped into Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s campaign for its lackluster performance based on unfavorable polling data showing Romney trailing President Barack Obama, despite the bad economy and high unemployment numbers...

What ifs don’t need to be sourced. Just use logic.

Gingrich was disgraced when he resigned commanded a 20% approval rating and has a horrible martial background.

Santorum was rejected by his own constituents by 20 points. Other than Blanche Lincoln you can’t find a senator rejected by his own constituents by that margin. Even pathetic Dewine lost by half that amount.

Perry can’t put a sentence together. Plus his approval rating in TX is 20-25 points less than GW Bush’s was.

If you think those characteristics are winning material, that’s fine. But they arent.

It is a pointless exercise to say we should have nominated someone else. We didn’t.

Amazing. I have never, ever heard her peep criticism about Willard Mitt Romney before. Uppity gentile woman.

The ones who weren't fully and openly in the tank for Romney from the outset of the primary season will be jumping off his sinking ship as fast as possible to try to preserve what credibility they can for themselves.

f the GOP cannot beat Obama, they won’t have to shut down the party. Obama will do it for them.

If Obama wins again, gird your loins. It's Hugo Chavez time.

I think you are right. Transnational globalism is another and actually more sinister agenda as well, and again this election is win/win for the One World types.

“Sadly, I’m stuck with voting for the latest in a long line of GOP milquetoasts, or risk being tossed out of the Romney sycophants club here on FR.”

Surely you jest. There are many of us who were tossed (we don’t care). Great word, “sycophants”.

Romney needs to get specific about his plans

He needs to convince most of America that time is rapidly running out, that we are going to have an economic meltdown that will surely result in great hardship for us all if he’s not elected. He needs to stress the immediacy, urgency and stark reality of the situation.

That means the Rats win the next election or three, until a new conservative party emerges that can win a majority.

By then, we’ll be the USSA, officially. No good way out now.

Gingrich wasn’t “disgraced.” You’re a Romneybot repeating his lies from the primary. People were surprised he resigned because there was nothing forcing him to. He in effect fell on his own sword because of the big target he had become of the media and the left, the same reason Palin resigned. Arguably the party had a better chance to get its work done with someone else in his role due to the media having done their best to make Gingrich and Palin into distractions and nitpick their every word to death. But approval ratings from the past are meaningless in the present day. You can look at how Hillary Clinton’s and G.W. Bush’s have steadily gone up from some dismal low points in the past as proof of that.

On February 23, 1997, [Laura] had an op-ed published in the Washington Post where she spoke of her maturing:

“In the ten years since I learned my brother Curtis was gay my views and rhetoric about homosexuality have been tempered, because I have seen him and his companion Richard lead their lives with dignity, fidelity and courage.”

She also has dated former New Jersey Democratic Senator Robert Torricelli.[26]

Ingraham’s always doing stuff like this, endorsing moderates and then forgetting a week later while she pretends to be conservative. I can’t stand to listen to her anymore, but my coworker insists on catching that show every day, to my great annoyance.

Socialism once enacted will have a short life span in North America. It simply will not be tolerated. The Founding Fathers were traitors and criminals to the Crown. We will see those days again.

No, there is no good way out. The rot has gone too deep and too long to be avoided. IMO the GOP’s main function for years has been to offer a placebo to cure the Progressive disease. We will not recover as long as that false hope, false front organization remains intact.

I actually agree with you. I have family and friends who work for current elected officials. They all ran on a pro traditional marriage platform. As the years have gone by; each one of these officials have softened their criticism towards supporting gay rights. They must know many people will never accept the behavior to be normal so- what is the best format to change the culture for a new change by activist judges, the elites who want this and all those who have the cowardliness to rebuke a global acceptance. They want this more than anything. Romney fits right into this agenda. We all are so doomed relying on these 2 flam parties that we have at this time. I pray God steps in to where as a better direction can come.

conservatives tend to blame the candidate or the campaign.

Exactly as it should be. If a party and/or candidate cannot convincingly make their case to the electorate -- particularly after six full years of campaigning, in Mittens' increasingly limp case -- then the fault for that absolutely lies with them, and them alone.

Period. End of sentence. End of paragraph.

On a level playing ground with an honest press Obama would be 20 points behind Romney.

The Obama slobbering press gives millions of dollars worth of positive spin and coverage for him and negative spin and coverage for Romney.

The minute anyone makes a serious criticism of Obama the press mauls them with charges of racism and coverage that rips them apart.
When it comes time to clean this mess up, the individuals in the leftist press are some of the first who deserve a meaningful attitude adjustment.
Maybe a fair trial for treason would be in order.

I have news for Laura. There is no “dignity” in two men messing with each other’s filthy anal area and calling it “love” or “marriage.”
