I asked a top Romney adviser what he makes of reports that the Romney campaign knows its losing and that Ohio is slipping out of reach (PPP has a new poll with Obama at 50 in the state):
Its horses**t. Nobody in Boston thinks were going to lose. Were in a tight race. We had a 4-5 point bounce after our convention and it evaporated when they had theirs. Now they have a 4-5 bounce. Its going evaporate in September. We feel good about the map. Were up with advertising in Wisconsin and I think North Carolina is going to come off the board. On Ohio, theyve been spinning for months now that its out of reach.
There was a Columbus Post-Dispatch poll last week that had it 45-45. Thats a more accurate picture of the state of the play there than any of the spin. PPP has these polls that just put chum in the water for the media. Sometimes I think theres a conscious effort between the media and Chicago to get Republicans depressed. And I hope our friends realize that all these media analysts out there are Democrats WHO WANT US TO LOSE. And the more Washington DC controls our economy, the more important inside-the-beltway publications are and the more money they make. The 202 area code is dominated by people who will make more money if Obama is reelected, so its not just an ideological thumb theyre putting on the scale for him, its a business interest.
I actually think the other side is in a panic. You look at New Mexico closing up. And theyre not above 50 in any of their target states. Look, were raising money, theyre raising money, and its tight. This is a dogfight. But the numbers actually point to a romney win barring something unforeseen.
Yep we're dead. Election day was moved to 9/10/2012 instead of November.....
“..Rasmussen has Obama approval at 52?? Were dead...”
Steady on there, Chad... don’t go all wobbly.
The whole absentee/early voting thing has always been a worry for me, too.
The TV ads here are running about 50/50. I live in rural central VA, and I haven’t seen any Obama yard signs at all; they’re all Romney-Ryan. No, that’s wrong....I’ve seen one place with an Obama sign, and it belongs to an elderly widow up the road who runs a little diner-type restaurant (crazy). But the other day I was driving through an inner-city low income neighborhood, and I was shocked to see a little house with a yard full of Romney signs.
I’ve seen three or four Obama ‘12 bumperstickers in the city, but a couple were “Another Mama for Obama”. I assume those were Obama’s black base.
::::wink:::
I have to say that the fact that 50% of the population STILL thinks Obama is doing a good job is a bigger problem.....
I could be massively wrong, but increasingly I think that they are still using the 2008 turnout models.
I’m trying, I really am trying. I’ve felt great all along but that approval number slapped me hard this morning.
If the primary was any indication, Freepers will go nuts between now and November...
Some of them just sit at their computers and complain.
Better to get out and work to make sure conservatives get elected to public office.
Worrying about it does nothing.
The time to celebrate or worry is the day after the election; then, you have to weigh your options.
This is psyops BS, and the dems are masters of it. They’re p*ssing in their pants right now, and freaking out.
Go out and convince two or three folks who you know voted for Zero in 08 why they SHOULD vote for RR.
Demoralize THEM. Doing nothing is not an option.
But I have to say a year ago, when we first moved here....lots of Obama 2008 stickers of all styles.....In one year's time they really have become harder to find. only a few Obama 2008 and I've only taken note of maybe four Obama 2012.
The Gay marriage issue has the Black Churches in an uproar....Which i think is a big reason for the sticker removal ...that and maybe embarassment.....add to that the "Three times NO" at the convention and I can't wait to see how the wind blows here on election day...espcially the voter totals in select countes around Atlanta.
The Chick-fil-a thing down here went crazy....So many cars everywhere trying to buy from them.......people standing inside buying whatever they had left to buy. Several ran out of everything, and I can tell you in Lakewood, Ohio(Northeastern Ohio-Cleveland suburb) The Chick-fil-a by my brother had to close around 4pm...totally wiped out of food.
It's going to be interesting at the very least for sure....The Rat Media will cling to the polls to the bitter end...and quite frankly if they came up to me I'd tell them how excited I am to vote for Obozo just to screw with them out of pure hatred for their dirty underhanded ways.
I hope you’re right!
And for the record,I WILL BE voting for Romney, simply because I believe, like everyone else here, that getting Obama OUT is the single biggest issue!
It’s just that living in Massachusetts,it’s easy to get frustrated!
We HAD enough signatures to put gay “marriage” on the ballot,we were denied that opportunity by our legislature when a handful of RINO’S sided with the democrats!

We thought there was a glimmer of hope with Scott Brown, but he turned around and voted to repeal DADT AND invited gay activist Tom Lang to the repeal signing ceremony!
Back in 2005 over 170,000 people signed petitions to get the Marriage Amendment on the ballot in Massachusetts. Soon afterwards Tom Lang and his “husband” Alex Westerhoff set up a website called KnowThyNeighbor. There they posted the names and addresses of all the signers and invited people to contact them and confront them. (They’ve also taken it nationwide, and have led similar efforts in Arkansas, Florida, Oregon, and Washington.)
As a result, many people who signed the marriage petition were harassed at their homes and at work. People were threatened with loss of jobs. They were shunned at local gatherings. Some were attacked in newspaper articles. It was an act of intimidation on a huge scale, and was traumatic for all of us. Many people have now refuse to sign pro-family petitions at all because of this.

And Scott Brown’s replacement in the state senate,State Sen. Richard Ross marched in Boston Gay Pride Parade!
http://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen/10c/pride_week/ross.html
...but,of course,so did the 2010 GOP candidate for Ma Governor,Charlie Baker! (WITH with Tom Lang and Alex Westerhoff ...Lang’s “husband”!!!)
http://www.massresistance.org/docs/gen/10c/pride_week/baker.html
..and did I mention Baker’s running mate in ‘10,Richie Tisei??(Who is running for congress in November?)
Gay activist. Recently “came out” as a homosexual. Proudly embraces the homosexual lifestyle and pushes its agenda in Legislature.
Gay marriage. Supports same-sex “marriage”. Voted NOT to let the people vote on Marriage Amendment.
Fifth columnist. Bragged in homosexual magazine that “The margin of victory was provided by Republicans” in effort to deny vote on Marriage Amendment. Actively working to move the Republican party leftward.
Gay propaganda. Appears in an aggressive pro-homosexual “marriage” propaganda video produced by the homosexual lobby. Includes a number of questionable (i.e., phony) statistics.
Transgender bill. Co-sponsor of radical Transgender Rights and Hate Crimes Bill (H1728).
Abortion. Strongly supports abortion. Rated 100% by NARAL and 100% by Planned Parenthood.
Buffer zone. Co-sponsored the expanded buffer zone bill around abortion clinics.
Hostile to religious faith. Co-sponsored the “emergency contraception bill” that was vetoed by Gov. Mitt Romney because it would force Catholic hospital workers to act against their faith.
High taxes. Voted against several bills to reduce taxes, earning him the wrath of Citizens for Limited Taxation. Tisei was the only Senate Republican who voted against the tax rollback in May 2000.

If it aint close, they cant cheat.
The liberals have their own conspiracy theories and excuses (”voter suppression” “voter ID”) if they lose.
It’s real simple - win by millions of votes and then it’s obvious who really won.
Do you know what the turnout 2008 in OH was in 2008? I noticed the PPP poll used 54% women. Is that an accurate representation?
Yet it didn't have a SINGLE question about OH or the OH senate race?
I think this poll called ONLY Dems who the pollsters in some way or another identified as having seen or attended the Dem Convention---otherwise, why in the world have extensive questions about Dem speakers? (Yet no questions about the GOP convention or GOP speakers).
As I said. He didn’t say it. Next.
What are you talking about?
And Tierney’s a sleaze.
Two horrible choices.
I’d kill for Romney to say exactly what you said. That’s the only way he’s going to get ahead.
