Mitt Romney electoral vote lead holds strong through both conventions

Dean Chambers

......

The state polls and race for electoral votes shows to be unchanged from the last GOP2112 analysis of the electoral vote race published here August 25, 2012. Not a single state has moved into a different category since then, and Romney maintains the electoral vote lead of 317 to 179 over Obama with 42 electoral votes from Pennsylvania, Minnesota, New Mexico and Oregon remaining in toss-up status. The map above shows which ways the states are leaning in this presidential race.

Here is information and analysis on some of the key swing states: ....

“I graduate from law school next spring at 65. Maybe there’s something I can do to help, I hope.”

Congratulations, PapaNew. Go out and sue the leftist b@$t@rd$ (on immigration, voting integrity, environment, “civil rights”, affirmative action, etc., etc.) like they have sued conservatives for decades. Lead the charge!

The last place I thought he’d spend money on ads was California, very strange.

Especially when they're whining about money issues: send us the money you'd spend on a wedding present, skip a meal and send us the money, etc.

I wouldn't have expected any spending here at all. Unless he's NOT polling well here either.

“Obama is down in EVERY demographic.”

Nope.

Go to Rasmussen’s electoral map:
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/archive/2012_electoral_college_scoreboard

Just hover your mouse pointer over each state. It will give you the current polling results in that state. Obama is doing very well in “his states” (as Romney is doing in “the red” states).

But some places, like Ohio, are dead heats. Going to be very difficult struggles for the Republicans.

This election is gonna be a squeaker.

All we can do is hope that it “squeaks” in our direction….

See post #59.

The 2010 results are the key. I believe this will be a breakout year for the Commonwealth.

“It amazes me, that so many Freepers fall for this “Obamabot” polling jazz, no matter how it reads or calls things out!!!”

Yep. It’s the knee jerk reaction that is prevalent on FR.

You would think he’d have this all locked up. We already adopted his policies and they’ve worked out so well for us.../s

There are really only two factions that really know how the polls are looking. The Romney campaign and the Obama campaign. And if the Obama campaign is running ads in CA, then I’d say they are very worried.

It shows Romney ahead in Wisconsin and Florida, tied in Ohio, Colorado and Virginia and -4 in Pennsylvania. No new polling data for MI and NV. NC is no longer in play. I think Romney is in a better position than the Kenyan.

What you need to know this is an open web site. Which means ANYONE can register here and “claim” to be a die hard Conservative. In reality they are DNC operatives here trying to stir things up.

No TV. But I haven't found anyone who is willing to say they're going to vote for Obombo.

Actions (running ads in CA) speak louder than words (polls).

Yup, the message that came out of the DNC from Clinton that will be remembered by the Rat faithful was: “I knew Bill Clinton, I am Bill Clinton. Barrack Hussain Obama is no Bill Clinton!”

Right on! I've been saying basically that to our two adult kids for a couple of months and they're skeptical even though they hate Obama. After Zer0 is sent packing in November I'm not going to tell them, "I told you so" but they'll know what I'm thinking. :-)

Obama is running ads in California. We here in Ca. are surprised.

You are right.WHY would obammer be running adds in Ca. I think something is amiss. When I saw obama’s speach Thursday to me he sounded like he was pleading to America for votes.

We in CA are a lost cause. Better Romney spend the buck in NM (Obama +5) and NJ (Obama +7) In Ca we are at best (Obama +15, and Over 50%)

Think of it as “Pittsburgh and Philadelphia with Alabama in between”. :)

Obama doesn't need to win the Alabama part. Democrats get Pennsylvania's electoral votes because they win Philadelphia and the collar counties in such overwhelming numbers that the rest of the state comes along as a consolation prize. I don't see that changing in November.
