God rest his soul and comfort and bless the family and friends. This is about 250 miles north of us. RIP.

Yes, prayers up.
My first thought was could it be the chairman of Micron but no, he already died in a plane crash.

Bummer.
We had a guy crash his Czech jet here at the Quad City Air Show last weekend.

Yes, Moscow, Idaho. University town - I work there. The Russians were so impressed they named their capital city after it.
Oh, sure, they tell it differently... ;-)

Strangely, there isn't actually any proof that the town was named after the Russian capital. It may have been named after a town in the U.S. that was named after the Russian capital. The Wiki article has it mostly right. The story goes that five men got together to decide on a name for the newly-incorporated community. It had originally been named "Hog Heaven" but for some reason that one didn't fly. So the decision was made by the postmaster, who was the one who had to tell the federal government what the post office was going to be in. That fellow - name of Neff IIRC - was from Moscow, Pennsylvania. Local lore has him moving back to Moscow, Iowa but I've never been able to find out if that's actually the truth.
It's pronounced "Mos-CO" locally. It is also a local custom upon hearing it inevitably mispronounced as "Mos-COW" to puff up and announce, "There ain't no cows in Moscow."
Actually, there are. :-)

I made a trip to Moscow, Russia and soooo tempted to start my trip in Moscow ID.
Changed my mind. I didn't want to cause any confusion.
