Forty-seven percent of 1,457 likely voters surveyed online over the previous four days said they would vote for Obama>

Now how the heck can you survey "likely voters" on line and claim that they are a random national sample? First of all, the participants would all have to have Internet access. Secondly, those who participated with Internet access would have to have self-selected themselves by making their e-mail addresses available to the pollsters. And thirdly, even the people who were e-mailed by the pollster would have to have self-sected themselves further by choosing to answer in order to participate in the poll.

Knowing that the pollsters lean to the left, you would presume that the subjects participating in the poll who gave their e-mail addresses to them skew to the left as well, as compared to the general "likely voter" population.

In short, garbage in, garbage out, since the pool of respondents is far from a random sample of the "likely voter" electorate. The pollster's methodology is very questionable, in fact unacceptable, if the true purpose was to predict the outcome in November.

It is sad and disheartening...

BUT WE MUST HAVE COURAGE AND DO WHATEVER WE CAN!!!

I am taking two personal days off just before the election so I can help out..man the phones, drive people to the polls, whatever! I will start to volunteer even earlier.
I want to wake up the next morning and feel like I really tried...no matter the outcome.

The polls are bullshit by the media to promote obama. I.e., the media manipulates them to favor obama.

And don’t forget the supreme court!

At least with MR and Ryan we have a chance. Nothing that they do that is awful could be worse than Obozo. We need the TIME —the next four years—to shore up the true conservatives, keep getting them elected and move the needle more and more to the right.

since the poll is online only it sounds bogus. Anyone can create a fake IP address and vote. I remember during Dancing With The Stars, I would vote for Bristol Palin maybe 20-30 times, created fake email addresses and voted for her. Its not reliable, people can download this IP blocker that changes your IP address every single time so since its only surveyed online it can be easily messed with

I am convinced that if Obama is re-elected(Since he will have nothing to lose) he will come out, congratulate himself for winning the election and say “Capitalism is dead, long live Communism” and the media will swoon for him

Actually, the worse things get the better it is for Obama. If we could just get to 100% unemployment, he would be unbeatable.

BTW, I agree with everything you said. Even the polls that try to show Obama leading also show he is losing support in every demographic. Both can’t be true so they just fudge the numbers so the lamestream media can report it.

I watched as much of the DNC convention as I could stomach. I wondered how many people would realize that what they were being fed was completely empty rhetoric. I live in an extremely liberal part of the country and work with a bunch of union members. People around here bought completely into the crap. Unfortunately both sides of the aisle expect that Western Washington is most likely going to Obama and dragging the rest of the state's electoral votes down with them.

It is depressing but the Democrats have taken every presidential election since 1984. Unfortunately, Romney is no Reagan. So I expect that this year will most likely be no exception. Fortunately, it is the battle ground states that matter and this liberal hot-spot will not determine the outcome of the election.

NOWHERE can I see the poll internals. PARTICULARLY the breakdown of Dim/Rep/Ind.

This is now becoming COMMON. The lame-stream polls have been exposed as over-sampling DIMS, and so now the bastards don’t give the poll internals!

DON’T BELIEVE THESE FAKE POLLS! THEY ARE TRYING TO DEPRESS US SO WE STAY HOME ON ELECTION DAY.

With the caveat that I don’t lend much credence to intrade, it is interesting to note that Obama has steadily declined on intrade since his speed. He was nearly 60 before his speech, and is now below 57. I guess the gamblers think the jobs data is bigger than the momentary bounce.

I think the future looks bright for the Republicans because they have all these rising young guys like Ryan, Rubio, Jindal, Scott Walker, etc. Who do the Democrats have? Almost all the guys speaking at the convention were old has-beens like Frank, Kerry, Clinton, Ted Strickland, and Biden.

Sometimes I ponder whether the GOP will in time be dominated by young libertarian types who were influenced by Ron Paul. In any case, the MSM was way off when they said in 2009 the Republican Party was a dying group of old white Christian racists. It seems to me that the Democrats are the guys stuck in the past, ie the big government socialism of the mid-20th century. 1965 called and it wants Obama back.

Thanks. 10:1 likes vs. dislikes. On YouTube. Not bad. The polls mean little right now. Follow the money. Romney did $100 million in August. Preezy’s camp has yet to release his. Wonder why. Not.

It makes me sad how politically ignorant my parents are.

My parents were democrats in the 40's but by the 60's were both Republicans.OTOH,my aunt...who just died a few years ago at the age of 95,was a democrat 'till the day she died. She was a *devout* Catholic...Mass *every* day, opposed to abortion,"gay" marriage, etc. But she still voted Rat.One day, during one of our discussions,I asked her why she voted Rat despite their positions on numerous issues...she replied "because they give me my Social Security".

Amazing!
