UPDATE: Just found out that the asking price of the house they are looking at is most likely $35 million. Bobby Titcomb, the Hawaiian native who brings Obama “fish and poi” (that’s code for “weed and coke”) to the White House is most likely involved in the purchase of the estate on Oahu that the Obamas will most likely be moving into in January. Possibly watching Titcomb’s movements will give more clues as to which house, exactly, Obama will move to in January 2013.

Titcomb was also arrested last year for prostitution himself or hiring a prostitute. The first articles out on the arrest seemed to indicate he swings the same direction as his choom buddy.

Clinton earned tens of millions in speaking fees. Obama will be in demand as liberals and colleges pony up the cash to hear his words of wisdom.
Does he have the personal discipline to earn the speaking fees that he might collect as an ex-president?
Frankly, I doubt it.
After a year or two of lucrative speaking engagements -- some gone thru the motions, some skipped -- I suspect the income might drop sharply.
Possibly, but he could earn 35 million in the first year after his presidency ends no problem. And there will always be a market for the first black president. He could work a solid year, then maybe a month or two a year for the rest of his life, and still have an extremely comfortable retirement on the golf course.

I doubt it, too. Any speech of stbstance takes time and energy to write. Speaking engagements take time away from the links and he'd have to be moderately sober. No, he doesn't have the discipline. It'd take too much time away from the links, the "spa" and his choom buddies.
The claim about the plans for the presidential library is pretty suspect....so....I’d take this article with a grain or two of salt.
He could hire a team of speechwriters, no doubt. But he hasn't the executive ability to hire good ones or to manage them effectively.

Well, I don’t want to beat a dead horse, but if some guy is bringing a package into the White House, I assume the Secret Service inspects it. That means that they have to be aware of it but take no action. Is that not a crime?

Notwithstanding the question of how obama came to be worth 10 million dollars, how does a guy who will get a stipend of about 400,000 dollars qualify for 35 million loan to purchace this estate. I wonder if this is part of the stimulus or TARP money,...most of it has not been accounted for.

Traditionally, friends of the “retiring” president have purchased a home for them. That was the case with Reagan, Clinton and George W. Bush. But the price tag for their homes was a fraction of what Obama’s home will cost. No real surprise from the Moocher-in-Chief
