Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), the first Muslim elected to Congress and the first African-American elected to the House from Minnesota, said Thursday that when some accuse President Barack Obama of being a Muslim, it’s “as if it’s something to be ashamed of or wrong,” but there’s really “nothing wrong with being a Muslim.” “A not-so-uncommon form of attacking the president has been to question not only where he was born, but his faith, and often that’s by saying he’s a Muslim. Can you talk to me about that, and as a Muslim-American, how does that make you feel?”

Obama is desperate to assure everybody that he's not and has never been a muslim. He's terrified people will think he's a muslim and associate him with other muslims, like his alleged father and all of his siblings. He freaks out if anybody points out he was raised in a muslim family in a muslim country and was enrolled in school as a muslim. He doesn't even want anyone to ever use his middle name because it's a muslim name.
Is it the fault of Americans that the name Hussein has a negative connotation? Or is it the fault of muslims?
