If DWS helped Giffords, it was a nice thing to do. One could tell Giffords was so proud to say the pledge. Many parts of her body are not working right, very poor gait, a swinging motion to get her legs to move, her arms/hands are at grotesque angles, and her speech is greatly affected, but she did that pledge. Her joy after saying it was like a little girl who did a fun thing.

Agree. I was not slamming Giffords. I just think it is shameful the way the Dems use her. I know she was proud to be able to say the Pledge. But it did seem she was unknowingly being used.

I agree. Having worked with numerous brain-injured people, I can imagine the thrill she felt at being able to appear and speak the Pledge. Her recovery will continue for years to come, but she has made remarkable progress to date.

This tells me her mental capacities have not rebounded, as she is at about the mental age of a kindergarten student.

It is abusive for the Dems to trot this poor woman out at every possible event.

They are heartless.
