What's most interesting about the Fluke comment, though, is that it points to a central cultural contradiction of feminism. Libertarian feminists sometimes argue that left-wing ones aren't "true feminists" because they want women to be dependent, albeit on government rather than on men. But feminism is about sexual equality or female supremacy, not freedom or independence. As long as the government isn't masculine in character ("patriarchal"), its size and scope are irrelevant to feminism.
When one considers the specific context of Fluke's above-quoted comment, however, it turns out to be as patriarchal a conception of government as one can imagine. By criticizing Romney for failing to "stand up" against Limbaugh, she faults him for a lack of chivalry. The duty of the president in a Flukist regime is to act as a white knight when a fair maiden's honor has been besmirched.
And Fluke isn't even the first feminist to make this sort of claim on Fluke's behalf. Recall that back in the spring, Gloria Allred urged that Limbaugh be prosecuted under a dormant Florida statute making a misdemeanant of "whoever speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity." That law--almost certainly unconstitutional under the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause because it treats the sexes in a grossly disparate way--has been on the books for 129 years. The Flukist Democrats will take America forward to 1883.

So much of this worship of evil by leftist women is because of abortion.
Abortion is an incredibly wicked act. It can be forgiven, by Christ Himself. Someday, that mother and her child can look forward to a rendezvous in heaven. But, for the woman who has not reconciled herself to the killing of her unborn child, the emotional and spiritual consequences are horrific.
Anyone living with unconfessed sin that has not come before God seeking mercy and forgiveness will be slowly driven spiritually mad.
Christ's atonement is infinite - but we must ask for Him to forgive. Without that, we are lost.
Abortion is a powerful chain upon the necks of guilty women who must (they MUST) seek some form of condolence. Without God's forgiveness, they lust for worldly confirmation that what they did was "OK" and that they are justified.
The millions of women who rush in lockstep to the Democrats do so because the Democrats offer false validation for their sins. In the end, this deception will only lead to more depravity, and then to Hell itself.
KEEP YOUR LAWS OFF OUR BODY! Uh, except for Obamacare, where we control your body!
I want to copy yourpost and send it to everyone.h
It would seem that the totally free method of birth control, not "doing it," is out of the question.
Of course that would mean self control, instead of having the government controlling others for your own benefit.
Oh, really.
We have all seen the quotes from Reagan, they are part of the lexicon, notable in their succinct wisdom.
I wonder where that list of Clinton's quotes is, is?
Where can I donate money for contraceptives so Sandra Fluke (pronounced like duck) can have sex with DNC delegates?
Don't you realize that in liberal world women reproduce by parthenogenesis. No feminist woman would require a man to reproduce you ignorant Neanderthal.

I wonder how she had TIME to attend the convention!!
Unbelievable isn't it?
The logic of contraception is that there is something wrong with being a healthy woman. Nobody who buys into that reasoning can be considered “pro-woman.”
I think that “free” contraception and the promotion of homosexuality are symbolic, or perhaps “iconic,” elements of the larger leftist wish for a world in which it’s possible to live without responsibility or self-control.
That's half of it: a functioning uterus and ovaries constitute a disease, which must be treated.
The other half is that there is something wrong with being a healthy man.
Functioning testicles constitute poison, against which one needs protection.
Well, yes, that's true, but ultimately, the terrifying outcome they're all so committed to preventing is the birth of a baby, and only women conceive and give birth. We might say it's not a "war on women," but really a "war on babies," in true King Herod fashion.
Nonetheless, from either side, it's humanity insisting, "God, you made us all WRONG! We don't want life!"
Indeed.
Even a miscarriage that occurs naturally is a trauma and heartache for the average woman.
Imagine what a willful abortion would cause.
Yes. I agree.
