Never understood why Clinton is somehow immune to the general public. Everyone knows he’s full of crap but so many ignore it and celebrate his greatness. A good leader does not lie through his teeth. Who would accept a boss or CEO devoid of any truth? A husband or wife, father, child, friend or coworker? It has always been that way. Obama gets a similar pas from the media, but he does not fool the general public since early 2010. He must not be as good of a liar.

“Never understood why Clinton is somehow immune to the general public.”

A lot of that is media hype; when he left office the Republicans won the White House and both houses of Congress. In hindsight people remember that at least they were working back then, but in November of 2000 the American voters vented their discontent against BJ Clinton by voting for W. If the economy was so rosy Gore would have trounced Bush; the fact is that there were already cracks appearing, and we had no other way to punish the sexual harasser.

I remember the Clinton years well. Rush Limbaugh said we kept thinking the left did not see Clinton was a scoundrel and we kept thinking just one more fact or scandal would wake them up but they did see it and they did not care. They only cared about their agenda. The Republican congress caused a good economy and Clinton got the credit and another 4 yrs. James Carvel said “It’s the economy, stupid!” Lets hope it is that way this time around.

I am sure that others saw the irony of a party that accuses the Republicans of engaging in a war on woman had Bill Clinton give the nominating speech.

Let's see, cheating on his wife, using woman as sex objects (not to mention humidors), sexual harassment, sexual assault, rape, trashing the reputation of woman who made accusations against him. My God, when it comes to the war on women, Bill Clinton is an army of one.

Not so much the general public, but those in the media who are supposed cover him.

The Hollywood liberals I am working with at the moment were thrilled with Clinton’s speech. Said it was brilliant.
