What I need help with is primary sources/text/links so I can print them out for:
1. Where 0bama removed work requirement for welfare recipients. This was very recent.
2. Where 0bama favored, wrote about, voted on partial-birth abortion where the 1st doctor gets replaced by a second who finishes killing off the baby if the baby survives. Rush discussed this a few days ago.
3. Where 0bama requires all hospitals to fund abortions in 0bamacare and where he said he promised this would not be part of 0bamacare. This is known to us all, and the MSM has totally ignored it. Several Catholic organizations sued over it.
4. Where 0bama ruled on by edict, supports or voted on gay marriage.
Many thanks! No, I'm not lazy. Lazy would have been just getting pissed, leaving the church, and not taking the time to have this productive talk which could affect many congregants who are otherwise in the dark due to 0bama's state controlled media.
Thanks so much. Too many of my fellow Christians give the Old Testament short shift. There’s a LOT of good stuff in there and much of it very relevant to our day, especially in Isaiah.
I worked for a man once who was this ethical, just not that wealthy. He still arranged to get me a modest severance sum when the board forced us out in a political coup. They were so hungry for power that the money meant little to them. We probably could have gotten even more, but the boss felt it best to leave them in a good position financially so they couldn't complain.
That’s Good. We had to leave the Methodist church ten years ago. The last three that they sent us were very liberal. One told me in a private conversation that the Jews were blood thirsty.
If a pastor told me that, I'd be out of that church before you could say Lane Kiffin.
Our pastor is Korean and was a businessman before he went into the ministry. I believe he went to Fuller Theological Seminary--in any case, he didn't go to the über-liberal Claremont Theological Seminary that trains most Methodist clergy in Southern California.
Study the passage where Judas Iscariot criticizes Jesus for allowing an expensive bottle of perfume to be poured out on his feet by a penitive prostitute.
“ought not that box had been sold and given to the poor?” Those words as well as the explanation of Judas’ motives were spelled out. If you will note, many “ Christian” social justice advocates use the same type of arguments against the church and other christians. Judas had no care for the poor, but he kept the money box for the group and he liked to steal from it. We also know it was Judas that betrayed Jesus. That’s why I am on record here at FR as declaring Judas Iscariot as being history’s first “Christian”(in name only) social justice advocate!
Do you think I beleive many modern such “advocates” would betray Christ, to advance their own agendas in the name of “christianity”? You betcha! So share this posting with your priest or pastor.
Perhaps not all such groups are evil but we must be wise and use some critical standards when evaluating such groups who are demanding funds and votes for favored candidates from our church churches and fellow believers. Sure some poor soul might get a crust of bread from some ministry but is the “bread of Life”, the Gospel of Jesus actually being promoted...or some poser’s bank accounts?
oops! “penitive” should have been “penitent”
sorry!
>> Look for a new pastor.
No, it’s good there’s an interested in correction.
an interest in
It’s only necessary to tell your pastor his heart is closed to Christ, and is instead welcoming the word of Hell.
No, its good theres an interest in correction.
1Co 11:18 First, I hear that there are divisions among you when you meet as a church, and to some extent I believe it.
1Co 11:19 But, of course, there must be divisions among you so that you who have God’s approval will be recognized!
On the other hand I like the “shake the dust from you feet”, it is easier.
