What I need help with is primary sources/text/links so I can print them out for:
1. Where 0bama removed work requirement for welfare recipients. This was very recent.
2. Where 0bama favored, wrote about, voted on partial-birth abortion where the 1st doctor gets replaced by a second who finishes killing off the baby if the baby survives. Rush discussed this a few days ago.
3. Where 0bama requires all hospitals to fund abortions in 0bamacare and where he said he promised this would not be part of 0bamacare. This is known to us all, and the MSM has totally ignored it. Several Catholic organizations sued over it.
4. Where 0bama ruled on by edict, supports or voted on gay marriage.
Many thanks! No, I'm not lazy. Lazy would have been just getting pissed, leaving the church, and not taking the time to have this productive talk which could affect many congregants who are otherwise in the dark due to 0bama's state controlled media.
If he is a social justice liberal then nothing, no amount of evidence or truth or facts will ever change their minds.
Save yourself the effort and find another church and pastor....
A pastor should not be afraid to bash leftists for abortion and gays and everything else.
Many on here are saying that you should leave and find a better church, and that may be your only recourse, but you do what the Lord tells you to do. If He wants you to stay and battle, then do so. If He wants you to leave, then leave and find a better church.
I'm in the same type of predicament. The church I attend is awash in liberal thinking and they are using watered down versions of the Bible, like "The Voice." I have tried to point out the inaccuracies and outright blasphemous words in that translation to no avail. But right now this is where God wants me and that's where I'll stay until further notice.
Good luck, and my prayers are with you.
It's from this weeks haftarah (Isaiah 60), actually: "The nation and kingdom that does not serve you shall perish."

The government purchase of 1.4 billion hollow points can’t be ignored.
Stop even worrying about it. Forget that “separation of church and state” bull$#!t. When you go to church and the pastor tells you his political beliefs, the congregation is going to listen. Because we all see what time it is. And don’t forget to pass the hat!
Sorry but an alleged pastor's job is to preach the word of God, not to cast judgment on others.......correct me if I'm wrong but that's God's job isn't it?
"Send us your love offering and we'll send you a prayer hankey"........
So who fits the bill as being the chief inspector? The pastor that this thread is dedicated to? Or the scores of other pastors and priests who have been dethrowned, deflocked or just plain kicked out of their respective churches for violating the very Word of God that they professed to teach every Sunday morning?
I'm not arguing the validity of worship but rather the individual that christians put their faith in at their respective churches where every Sunday they are called upon to deposit their offerings in a basket that is passed around. Then every quarter the church conveniently sends out a mailing informing all its members how much every one has contributed while the pastor, a father of five, has the luxury of crusing around town in a new Corvette..........
I wouldn’t worry about the secular sources. Show him scriptures and if he won’t hear them, find a new church home.
In the mean time I have been spending much time studying the Bible.
Now who is the chief inspector, I don't know but I can be an inspector and test them against Gods Word. In fact it is quite fun until they stick me down in a dry well...........
I’m just wondering if arguing political points is going to do anything to change your pastor’s mind. I think he’s probably not only taken a political position, but also merged that in his own mind with a spiritual outlook. Maybe it’s best to convince him that his conception of how God views “social justice” is mistaken, and go for the head of the snake, so to speak.
One argument I can think of in that regard, is to simply point out that it is the Lord, not the government, who reserves the power to giveth and taketh away. It’s God who we should look towards to bless us with success in our earthly endeavors, and not Caesar. Government is, after all, just something that we have to suffer under until the King returns, and if we place our faith in government, we are no wiser than if we place faith in any human vanity.
Thank you and I appreciate your honesty.......the “Club House” was a perfect term for what I am seeing in churches and which keeps me from committing to one.
I think it is great that you care enough to make a case to him. Ignorance is not bliss in the long run. :)
If he continues to push leftist power/socialism, get of the “church.” Starve the beast.
