Gallup: Obama Enjoys Massive Lead Among Those With No Religion By Terence P. Jeffrey September 6, 2012
(CNSNews.com) - President Barack Obama enjoys a massive lead over Mitt Romney among registered voters who say they have no religion, according to the Gallup tracking poll of the presidential race.
In the three-week period that ended on Sept. 3, according to Gallup, Obama led Romney 69 percent to 23 percent among those who have no religion. That was exactly the same result Gallup got in the previous three-week period ending Aug. 26.
Since Gallup started publishing demographic breakouts of its tracking poll on May 6, Obama has always held a large lead among registered voters who say they have no religion. Even so, he has managed to grow that lead.
In the three week period ending May 6, Obama led Romney 63 percent to 27 percent among registered voters with no religion.
Romney leads Obama in other religious categories that Gallup tracks. He leads Obama 47 percent to 45 percent among registered votes who say they are Catholic, 54 percent to 39 percent among those who say they are Protestant or Christian, 58 percent to 35 percent among those who say they are “highly religious” and 47 percent to 45 percent among those who say they are “moderately religious.”
Among registered voters who say they are “nonreligious,” Obama holds a 62 percent to 31 percent lead—not quite as large as his 69 percent to 23 percent lead among those who say they have no religion.

If by objectivism you mean atheism, this could not possibly be more wrong. What is called capitalism is merely a system in which individuals are allowed to keep the the value that is produced by their work and innovation. This type of system can only work in a moral society in which people believe an individual's rights and value come from God and can not be appropriated by force by the government or other elites.
All totalitarian societies are atheistic and persecute religion. All free enterprise societies require strong moral values to function successfully.

So, Obama supposedly believes in a REAL religion (Christianity) and Romney believes in a cult fake con artist religion (Mormonism)and the no religion folks support Obama? Common sense must be a disease to democrats.

As an atheist, this is depressing.
The difference is that, just as no one in the world sincerely believed Obama when he claimed he opposed gay "marriage" four years ago, no one sincerely believes Obama when he claims to be Christian. The non-religious go with Obama because they know he's a liar, they believe he's an Atheist or Muslim, and they don't mind dishonesty as much as they mind deferring to God and to the Bible.

The people in question reject religion (any given religion) because almost all require morality and some sort of personal responsibility.
Morality and personal responsibility are the anthesis of a modern liberal.
That poll is not my reality I can assure. I can honestly say that he does not lead in my circle of friends which almost everyone is not religeous including myself. In fact all hate Obama with a passion. But, these are the people I choose to hang with, like minded.

Islam as practiced in violent, totalitarian countries is not a religion, it is an oppressive ideology that encourages violence and repression.
One of the greatest falsities is saying Islam is comparable to Christianity. Or better than Christianity. The moral values that allow the freedoms that lead to prosperity are Christian values.
I refuse to accept that Muslims who persecute and kill Christians are morally the same as Christians.
Actually, he did no such thing. Many German Protestants were only too happy to restyle themselves as "German Christians" and hang the swastika next to the cross of Christ. Most of the remaining Protestants took a "neutral" stand toward Nazism.
The only Christian sect to be completely banned by Hitler was the Jehovah's Witnesses, who deserve eternal credit for their courage in standing up to him.
There are two words you can definitely use to describe the democrat non-religious: Irresponsible and Unaccountable.
