Nickelodeon calls promotion of Jason Biggs' Twitter account 'a mistake' following lewd posts

Nickelodeon has called their recent actions "a mistake" following a scandal involving actor Jason Biggs, who sent a series of extremely graphic and lewd tweets before having his page promoted by the network.

In a statement to Breitbart.com, whose managing editor Alexander Marlow emailed a complaint to the network’s vice president of programming, Nickelodeon offered the following explanation:

“The offensive comments made by Jason Biggs last week on his personal twitter account do not reflect our company’s views or values, and we condemn them. Nickelodeon does not support or condone the use of graphic or vulgar language on any of our platforms.

“It was our mistake to link from our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles twitter feed to Jason’s personal twitter account, and we quickly corrected our error. We also insisted Jason use better judgment and discretion in public communications while affiliated with our brand.”

Right. Telling him to use better judgement is not good enough.

Why isn’t he being terminated?

Nick can’t even have a morals clause for children’s content?

Not terminating him is valid reason to go after their sponsors.

A list of Twitter accounts to contact their sponsors can be found here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2925759/posts

Nickelodeon preys on children, they sexualize adolescents, look into Dan Schneider, it’s rumored he sleeps with the stars of his shows, if they want to renew their contracts or go on to bigger and better things, Jaimie Lynn Spears was supposedly a victim. Pedophilia is rampant in Hollywood, they have no morals, so someone like Jason Biggs is revered rather than scorned, sick, there is a reason California sits on a fault that’s on the verge of ripping, widening, and exploding!

Parents who permit their children to watch that channel are absolutely nuts.

When my son was small, it took me all of one program to decide he wasn’t watching. They are anti-parent and push children to be sassy smart asses.

If I were Paul Ryan, I would punch that actor right in the nose......

Nickelodeon is gateway drug for kids so they can move on to MTV weirdness.

Wouldn’t you know it, both networks are owned by Viacom. No coincidence there. Satan works his mischief in our popular culture.

It was not a mistake. I am not using any of his sponsors products until they fire him.

Nick is owned by CBS who also owns MTV. They have NO moral ground.

Why expect anything different?

When my daughter was 3 yrs old she used to watch “The Elephant Show” on Nick. It used to be geared to young children back in 1988.

Now my 3 yr old grandson loves Bubble Guppies. It will make your head explode seeing the programs on that station now. They are of no educational value. Dora the Explorer is banned in our house. Not because it is bad for him but because it is just “bad”.

Just ban the whole channel. It’s really dark. Tell him the tv is broken. (channels can be blocked)

Let him watch some carefully selected recorded shows you pick out. I am so releived not to have those tv creeps dealing with my children anymore.

I used to feel safe letting my little one watch Sesame Street. Until one morning I walk by and look in on him and his face is covered in horror. Sesame St. was over and they followed it up with Canadians harvesting baby seals with clubs. We had to talk about that nightmare scene he was way too young to understand, throughout the day. “But mom, they were just baby seals...” I hated PBS for using kids like that.
