To: Bride Of Old Sarge

Thanks, Bride. I’m hoping to sleep tonight.

We don’t have hurricane force winds very often, and power outages even less. I ordered a couple more hurricane lamps on Amazon today, along with extra wicks. I’ve tried to find them here before, but could only find lamp oil.

I need to learn the ins and out of generators, and what size we need. We have a small one, but I don’t know the steps for getting it “hooked” into the house for fridge, freezer, computers. If my ship were to come in, I’d look into the kind that kicks in by itself after a certain period of time and powers a bunch of things.

I’m at a total loss when it comes to generators. I would love to have one, even better, one that is buried under the ground, but here the water table is not that far below ground. :-( Wish I could help you on that....
