CHARLOTTE, N.C. Bill Clinton will tell delegates at the 2012 Democratic National Convention that Republicans left President Barack Obama a total mess, he hasnt finished cleaning it up yet and that the incumbent president deserves another four years to implement his vision for the country.
In early excerpts of the former presidents remarks, Clinton amplifies on the message Democrats delivered on the first day of the convention Tuesday, describing Obama as a champion of the middle class and Republicans as hostile to the interests of regular people.
In Tampa, the Republican argument against the presidents reelection was pretty simple: We left him a total mess, he hasnt finished cleaning it up yet, so fire him and put us back in, Clinton will say. I like the argument for President Obamas reelection a lot better. He inherited a deeply damaged economy; put a floor under the crash; began the long, hard road to recovery; and laid the foundation for a more modern, more well-balanced economy that will produce millions of good new jobs, vibrant new businesses and lots of new wealth for the innovators.
Clinton continues, framing the election philosophically: The most important question is: What kind of country do you want to live in?
If you want a youre-on-your-own, winner-take-all society, you should support the Republican ticket, Clinton will say. If you want a country of shared prosperity and shared responsibility a were-all-in-this-together society you should vote for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
The wildly popular former president is one of the most anticipated speakers of the week. With Clintons personal approval ratings clocking in near 70 percent and his eight years in office chiefly remembered for their economic prosperity there are few messengers better equipped to speak up on Obamas behalf.

The kind where the Party Operatives who smoked Vince Foster and Ron Brown spill the beans to Congress and Congress arrests, prosecutes, and imprisons the "Wildly Popular" dirtbags who Ordered them smoked.
Nope. Hussein himself said himself if he couldnt put a dent in the mess he would be a one termer..
The GOP Mess... which was controlled by Pelosi and Reid. Let’s not let facts get in the way.
“Wildly” popular former president. Hilarious.
That's rather large. I'd rather tone it down to what sort of dwelling would you like to live in. And my answer would be "one with a roof please and working electricity and a fridge with some food" because all that's looking rather dicey in Obama's America. Once they get that part squared away, they can move on to the big, philosophical questions.
Not a very strong argument. Bubba will kill Obama with faux praise.
The commie bastards are solidifying thier true agenda and thier eventual hold on America, we need to get out and vote in mass, more of a crushing defeat than carter
If George Bush is still the most potent force in the US economy, what does that make Barack Obama?
***Wildly popular former president. Hilarious.***
Example - the downgrade from the stadium: Clinton can’t fill that either.
“we need to get out and vote in mass”
Well, with Romney as our point puppet, this Ain’t going to be a Reagan landslide.
What we Need to do is prepare for the B’tards trying to steal it after the fact with their chad swallowing recalls. Watch the polling places for mystery boxes (of phony/stolen ballots) coming and going in car trunks.
I think Slick IS trying to screw over the bag carrier.
Slick knows that a majority DO NOT want the radical changes, i.e. “Vision” that the bag carrier wants for the country.
Both parties essentially tried to destroy basic Capitalist principles at lay in the economy. The Democrats have tried to blame it all on Bush. Bush doesn’t want to the blame either.
Now Obama wants to fix it by doubling down on Socialist/Communist policies that got us in this mess.
At the same time, he blames everything on Capitalism, and says the Socialist/Communist fixes are what are called for, since Capitalism has been proven to have been a failure.
These two parties have just about tag-teamed us to death.
Frankly, I’m sick of it.
I listened firsthand to a woman recount how she was sexually assaulted by Bill Clinton. She recounted the event to us during a bar-b-que in our back yard. It was incredible to hear her describe Clinton's actions.
The event she described happened in the Rose Garden of the White House with people all around.
If this is Bubba’s strategy IT ISN’T GOING TO WORK. REAGAN CLEANED UP CARTER’S MESS IN LESS THAN FOUR YEARS. It’s not that hard. All you do is TAKE THE GOVERNMENT’S BOOTS OFF THE NECKS OF BUSINESSES AND EVERYDAY AMERICANS.
Yeah, the Rats want to pretend the didn’t take control of the House and Senate i. 2007. They also want to pretend Obama didn’t have super majorities in both houses of Congress the first 2 years of his term, and forget that the opposition to Obamacare was bipartisan. Also this wopper on FNC earlier, James Rosen called Bill Clinton the “architect of welfare reform.”
Agreed. If this is his message, it’s not going to resonate. It’s more of the it’s every one else’s fault.
Actually, I think they’re right about his popularity. Guys at work love him, same with my last job.
May not make sense but they like him.
