Convention Chairman Antonio Villaraigosa tried to add the new sections via voice vote, but had to take the vote three times after nays appeared to match yeas. Eventually he declared a two-thirds majority for amending the platform, which was met with boos in the hall.

We should’ve kept our cards closer to the vest... and started playing this one on Thursday.
Since they changed the platform... we gave this issue right back to them.

No, they goofed and did so poorly. The booing alone is the stuff of campaign ads.

Does it seem to anyone else that the Democrats are spending an awful lot of time and effort reacting to issues that the Romney people are putting out there, instead of concentrating on coming up with some sort of persuasive idea as to why Obozo should get another term?
Behavior like that is a sure sign that they are completely lost. When the other guy keeps you reacting to his agenda instead of putting out your own message, you're screwed.
These people are morons, Obama hasn't got a chance with this kind of campaign coordination.
