DNC Set to Move Obama Speech from 74,000 Stadium to 20,000 Arena

Tuesday, September 4, 2012

Democrats are poised to avoid the danger of President Barack Obama accepting his party’s nomination before a partially-empty stadium by shifting his speech to an indoor arena and citing ‘severe weather’.

The Obama campaign have been working desperately to ensure that the 74,000-seater Bank of America stadium in Charlotte would be filled.

Buses for students from across North Carolina and even members of black churches in neighboring South Carolina have been arranged.

Hmmmm? Only members of black churches were going to be bussed in to the DNC coronation?

Hey Chrissy Matthews!

Hear the dog whistle?

Does it seem like the Obama campaign is going into panic mode?

This should work out very well for them. I just read there are 5,000 delegates and 15,000 reporters covering the convention, which means Obama will have his 20,000 supporters present at his speech.

Someone needs to do a story about the poor BofA Stadium workers, from vendors, to ushers, to the cleaning crew, who will see a real negative financial impact by this selfish change of the venue.

Pray to God, fervently, that more than the DNC/Obama venue gets downsized. For good measure, I’d throw in the GOP establishment/Romney socialist Republicans too. Rejecting God Himself has become the new national pastime and purpose of all of Washington, DC, and of most all American life styles. Dare we wonder why the near suicidal demise of our country?

REASON GIVEN:

"Couldn't drag enough stupid people in to fill up 74,000 seats and the dead voters don't show up well on TV."

"There is a 2% chance of rain. So we thought it best to abandon $150,000 worth of preparations, spend another $50,000 to change our venue and tell thousands of people to cancel their travel plans."

We must always remember - it is not our place to question Barack.
Whatever Barack does, he does it for all of us.
Even if he suffers.
That's why he was sent to us.

20,000 in the Arena is about the max it can hold .... with a stage setup, it is several thousand less. Word has it, the place is jammed now to try and get everything in (stage, teleprompters, etc.). So ... how many students and black church members are going to be allowed in? The VIPs will be there .... part of their reward for donating lots of $$. I suspect the rest of the crowd will be the credentialed delegates .... security was said to be “light” at the Arena because Obama/Biden were never supposed to be there. With the venue change, I doubt the SS is going to be letting in Joe Q. Public. LOTS of disappointed people is what I’m thinking ... the “regular” people .....well, as “regular” as libs get.

Running on their record of accomplishments, there already are a lot of disappointed Americans. Some people wake up to the fact that what they are doing is harming the country rather than doing good. Others will never realize things are slipping farther into oblivion until no one will take the checks or accept our credit. Remember we lost our great credit rating under this administration. We lost our space program, Iran got the bomb, we didn’t get the Olympics, the list goes on and on.

“The List” would make a good ad .... pretty devastating when you see it laid out item by item.

Republican convention was at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, capacity 19,500.

So Dems grandiose plans for the stadium coronation backfired. I wonder how much money they wasted on it. What a PR disaster, although most of the press are reporting the Democrat “talking points”.

You say the arena holds 20,000. I wonder if it will be filled with the 20,000 muslims that someone told me they heard were scheduled to attend.

Here are the actual attendance numbers .... a LOT less than 20,000:

Local spokesperson for the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs, sponsor of Jumah – said they were expecting about 1,000 at Saturday’s Town Hall Issues and Cultural Fun Fest. As of 2 p.m., less than 50 people were at the Park Expo and Conference Center, with more at Saturday night’s entertainment event.

Several thousand were expected at Friday’s Jumah prayer in Marshall Park, and an estimated 300 people attended.
