In 2008, standing between artificial columns designed to recall the White House Rose Garden, then-Senator Barack Obama accepted the Democratic nomination for president at Denvers Invesco Field in front of a record crowd of 84,000. Its clearly not 2008 any more.
Bank of America stadium and the 73% smaller Time Warner Cable ArenaA similar-sized venue was chosen for now-President Obamas acceptance speech this years Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, where .... Bank of America Stadium seats 73,298. Thats ten thousand less than Invesco, but still a sizable venue and one which, if enthusiasm were even remotely close to 2008 levels, Obama should have had no trouble at all filling.
However, a growing enthusiasm gap reflected in crowds at campaign events that were so paltry......

It's the weather! Yeah, that's the ticket!
(The DNC is making me wear out this graphic...)
There was a post this morning about the GOP staging an event in the Bank of America stadium. Was that just a joke or is it for real?
Down to BofA Stadium at 74,000.
Now Time-Warner which seats 15,000 to 20,000.
Say! Is this the TIME that ran a "Hit the Road Barack" cover just recently?
His crowds on the campaign trail have been held down "intentionally" because of security concerns?
Now the crowd is held down out of concern for the weather?
I’m assuming a joke. The ‘rats probably still have the stadium reserved, so it can’t be rented out to anyone else. They’d be fools to release the reservation, even if it costs them, and risk being upstaged.
I bet Palin would have the place full with a less than 24 hour lead time. Or maybe Back.

The CLINT EASTWOOD Effect has swept through the Furious but not Fast ranks of Obamanation.
Will Zipper-Boy Clinton replace Biden as Veep?
Will the power go out on Obama’s teleprompters during his screech-speech?
Will Liberal Women still swoon for the Bubba and Barry TV Show?
BTW, where is Hilly, anyway?
One of Obama’s main ploys this election has been to project an air of invulnerability. He has tried, and been successful (according to major polls) at getting the people to believe that he will win and Romney will lose. It is one of the few things he can work with, given his record. It is becoming increasingly obvious, that the media polls cannot any longer compensate for the lack of crowds on the campaign trail. They have been rigging the polls for him, in the hopes of people giving up, as it was considered a done deal, but now the truth of how unpopular he has become, is shining through all the media filters.
Very true.
Is that 200k seat speedway available?
