When James Hoffa, president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, looks at the Tea Party today, he flashes back to 1964 and sees the John Birch Society.
"The Tea Party, these right wingers are basically the modern-day John Birch Society," he told U.S. News. "They are being extremists."
The John Birch Society gained traction in the earl 60s with its vehemently anti-communist rhetoric and distrust in government.
Hoffa says just like in the early 60s when the John Birch Society pushed for Barry Goldwater, who was the more conservative candidate, to be the Republican presidential nominee, the Tea Party has forced its the GOP further to the right.
"It's just like in 1964 when Goldwater ran against Johnson and the John Birch society was calling the shots."

According to Hoffa, the law allowing private citizens to contribute money to candidates of their choice must be revoked. Stalin or Mao couldn’t have said it any better.

You must have read the recent news blurb concerning AFL-CIO western Wisconsin president, Bill Brockmiller, in my old hometown of La Crosse, Wisconsin being caught soliciting prostitutes. And yes, the guy was married with children. Great models for young people. (snicker)

Labor Movement = Communists. Many unions fought against the United States in WW II, almost openly siding with the enemy.
The very roots of communism are the unification of industrial labor to overthrow the oppressing capitalist exploiters.
Labor Unions are labor monopolies that enrich their executive leaders at the expense of the working man. They encourage massive waste, fraud, sloth, and extreme laziness. I personally have had to use SIX different trades to get a simple 30 minute job completed — six worthless bums sitting around watching ME work. The electricians unions I worked with in the northwest proudly called themselves “FLEs” — “Fat, Lazy Electricians”
Whittaker Chambers wrote “Witness” precisely because he knew the communist enemy would rewrite history and totally smear him. So he made a pre-emptive move to write a (somewhat) accurate history of communist party infiltration of the US government in the 30s and his role in it.

I understand the reason for James Hoffa’s observation. Both the Tea Party Patriots and the John Birch Society have the same goal, a constitutional government.
I am a Christian Conservative and a Tea Party Patriot. I see the John Birch Society Web page banner says Less government, more responsibly, and with God’s help, a better world.
Thank you Mr. Hoffa for the heads up. I may join the John Birch Society since I agree with their agenda of less government, which means a constitutional government, more responsibility, which means personal responsibility, a better world, which means a Godly world.
I am curious why Mr. Hoffa doesn’t favor a constitutional government. I guess he has his reasons.
