Romney should promise him the job as Secretary of Government Motors if he flushes this goofy idea.

Well you can bet Willard will promise him a cabinet position for not going third party. Hed be crazy not to, and Paul would be crazy not to accept it. After reading what the party insiders did in Florida, they'd likely have better luck juggling chain saws.

His son Rand had better set up a professional intervention for dear old dad and help get his mind right or Rand’s own career won’t be worth a plugged nickle.

Quite honestly I think Ron Paul might take more votes from Obama than Romney... I agree.

It’s nice to have social-scientific confirmation of one’s intuitively-held opinions:
The Paul supporters I know all seem much more likely to tilt to Obama than Romney in a two-way race. I suspect a Paul 3rd party run would put a few “blue” states where Romney otherwise would stand no chance in play — I’m thinking of Oregon, specifically.

Agreed. It is the abandonment of integrity and principle that is the last straw. They wanted to have the candidate pick the delegates rather than delegates pick the candidate! Such jackassery.

If that loon does this, he would only be doing it as a spoiler or for money.
In my book, that would make him a traitor.

Recorded same day, I believe about 4 or 5ish in the afternoon. If anything big happened we would already know.

There are a lot of Virgil Goode supporters on FreeRepublic, I didn’t know if you were one of them.
At this point, anyone who is against Romney is against the country. Obama is the enemy.
