Rasmussen Swing State Poll (pretty good fro R/R)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 9/4/2012 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 09/04/2012 9:04:08 AM PDT by LS

Today's Swing State poll has pretty good news across the board for Romney/Ryan: in CO (once a source of GOP concern) it's tied; in WI, Romney is up 1; in FL and IA, he's up 2; in OH, it's tied; in PA, Romney is down 4; in NH, Romney down 5; and in NV (the worst) Romney is down 5 with ZEro at 50%.

WI has been hanging tough, CO and IA moving up for Romney; FL a little tight, but I just don't believe that number---I think it's 4-5 points; and PA is winnable. NV concerns me, and what the hell has happened to New Hampshire?

PA passed voter ID. That mightkeep Philly from getting 120% turnout.

Plus several other factors. The most fired-up voters are conservative white people living in the "T" interior of the state. Unions are P.O-ed at Barry for failing them on Card Check and a number of other issues, which will depress GOTV efforts in Allegheny County. Obama's EPA is scaring the beejesus out of anyone who relies on coal mining or shale fracking to earn a living. Aside from black neighborhoods and college campi Barry is NOT popular here.

Was just in Delaware and said the same thing. No income or sales taxes, big chemical industry (Dupont), favorable haven for corporations and creditcard companies-

And they inflict liberal idiots like Biden on the rest of us.

I would like to think so but since the state did not go for George W. than I can’t imagine the state going for Romney who is way more liberal than George W. Had Pennsylvania gone for George W. and just caught up with Obamamania in 2008 than I would agree with you about our chances with Pennsylvania in 2012.

I think PA is winnable.

We have to consider the effects of the Pipeline cancellation, the outrage of unions over choosing Charlotte a Non union City for the democratic convention and the EPA Policies under this administration regarding the coal industry.

Buckeye...

Whole heartedly agree with you.

I've been telling everyone who will listen that Obummer is going to loose this election NOT because of any one National issue but because of all the little individual issues that have successfully p!ssed off various groups of voters.

College/recent graduate voters can't get jobs...

Seniors have had 716 Billion in Medicare raided for Obamacare...

Coal and Fracking in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and W. Virginia...

The lost Jobs and money in Michigan because of the "So called GM Save"....(not to mention all the various dealerships and their employees put out of business too)

Nevada because Obama told companies not go out to Vegas for their annual business trip....

Small business owners because Obama said, "You didn't build that!"

Etc., Etc.

NV concerns me, and what the hell has happened to New Hampshire?

Romney doesn't need NV if he can win PA but I don't see him winning PA. Maybe the mormon population in NV can put Romney over the top in NV.

Is there any particular reason NH should be so deep in the Obama column? Scandal? Targeted ads?

It is hard to imagine LV would go Obama in light of their truly dire unemployment situation.

I don't see that at all up here in NH...the Obama sentiment up here is downright hostile. The problem is Nashua and Portsmouth, the MA dumping grounds for all the 'beautiful peoeple' who flee to NH to escape the Mass-hole taxes.

'Good for thee, but not for me..'

[A lot of people from Massachusetts moved there and now the motto is “Live Free or Diet”.]

“Diet”...that’s a good’n...I never heard, will use. Lots of tonnage around here could stand to diet.

Actually I’ve heard this is a common error- that most of these PC wingdings that have moved here have come from the mid-Atlantic states...the MA invasion was largely w/ busing debacle etc from 1970’s...has tailed off.

I'm not worried about New Hampshire. The Republicans did very well in NH statewide in 2010 and the pundits didn't see that coming. In 2010, they picked up a senate seat by a huge margin and both House seats as well as large margins in both houses of the state legislature. The GOP also almost picked off a popular incumbent governor (Lynch) but fell a little short.

[The liberals tend to move here from the mid atlantic states.]

I’ve heard something of same, just posted on this.

I’m born & raised Concord (not there now but keep track of their wards & u can add that to the list...along w/ irrepressible, longtime lib mecca Hopkinton. I went to the fair there last weekend and saw several “I’m with Planned Parenthood” lawn signs...despicable. Haven’t seen them anywhere else, not that I get around much. Pigs. Ton of Kuster signs in Hopkinton and I’d guess more affluent parts Concord.

I’m Epson way and its like a vacuum hereabouts. There are some signs-tend toward Repub- but nobody has bumper stickers. It was really striking 4 years ago.

Believe it or not, most of the Massholes that move to NH are very conservative. The liberals tend to move here from the mid atlantic states.

Many of the former Mass**** residents in NH have 'Romney' and/or 'Save America, Vote Republican' signs in their yards.

New York transplants are the problem...

It has more to do with economics and less to do with religion. People vote their interests. Hispanics have an out of wedlock birthrate of 50% topped only by the black rate of 71%. Hispanics have the highest school drop out rates of any group, more than 50%. This is the pathology for failure in our society and greater dependence on government. Hispanics are joining blacks as part of a permanent underclass. They will vote Democrat, the party of big government, regardless of differences on abortion, gay marriage, other religious issues, etc.

By 2050 one in three in this country will be Hispanic. Demography is destiny.

Elizabeth Warren is typical of those rich liberal hypocrites. She complains about the 1% not paying their ‘fair share’, but as a 1%er herself, she’s avoided paying the highest income tax rates in massachusetts, and her excuse for her tax avoidance is that it’s legal.

If the GOP wants to say it, they’ll have to say it in Spanish or those voters won’t have a clue what we are saying.

I wonder if there is a way to show the seniors how much the left mocked the elderly with their assaults on Clint Eastwood? Surely, that can’t endure them to the seasoned citizens.

The swing is starting to occur in PA. Romney will appeal to the folks in suburban Philadelphia. They see the direct results of Obama Thugonomics everyday on the local news and local schools. Suburbanites have IDs to vote, and if they are just pissed off enough they will actually vote.
