There was a recently aired documentary on her on one of the NBC channels. She was bad news back in the apex of Miami's drug scene.

I saw that documentary. The one dude who somehow survived a meeting with her, in which he was to be executed (before the Godmother changed her mind)... as he was relating the story, you could still see the abject terror in his eyes at the mention of her name.

Didn’t she also marry an Oakland dealer while she was in prison? Was that the guy? I saw the documentary (well, one of them) and it was indeed riveting.

Blanco seemed destined for Floridas Death Row but the prosecutions murders case was dealt a severe blow. The reason: Ayala the cases chief witness engaged in phone sex with secretaries from the Miami-Dade State Attorneys Office. After an investigation, three secretaries were fired and a veteran prosecutor resigned. For that alone, Ayala should have rode the lightning.

Didnt she also marry an Oakland dealer while she was in prison? Was that the guy?Not that I remember. This was just someone who crossed her the wrong way. All his associates had been brought to her so she could kill them personally, he was the last. For some reason (I forget why) she spared him and he started working for her until he Witness Protected out.
I saw the documentary (well, one of them) and it was indeed riveting.
It was a good series.

I can’t believe she’s survived this long. For a thug, she’s had a long life. I haven’t seen NBC’s documentary, but did watch “Cocaine Cowboys”. My ex-husband was from Ft. Lauderdale, and his family lived through those times in the 70s and 80s.

Its amazing she lasted as long as she did. Pablo Escobar got assassinated by “Columbian cops” (likely actually American Operators) ... why not her?
Should’ve been taken-out a long time ago.
