Yes it is....
My friend from work’s son is in Afghanistan now. A couple months ago he was on patrol riding in one of those V bottom vehicles (I can’t drag up their name) and they hit an IED. Everyone was beat up, but no one had to be flown out to Germany.

They aint no good for IEDS though the v bottom helps.
They are light armor. Glad your friends sons ok (((hug)))
