On that we are in total agreement. Some magazine listed Portsmouth as a great place to retire and now we have a flood of new arrivals with a different mindset.

Back in ‘04 I visited my nephew and his wife when they lived in NH – little town somewhere between Concord and Salisbury. We took a day trip to Portsmouth. Nice town from what I saw. I especially loved the Strawbery Banke Museum.

Rock Hill’s Ayende Alcala sees himself as a product of a legacy of people and communities that have fought for equal rights.

Born to a father whose family immigrated from Mexico and an African-American mother from Alabama, Alcala has long seen their struggles as one in the same.

The coalition is mobilizing around three demands: money for education, housing and health care; justice for immigrants and oppressed people; and jobs and economic justice.

The little guy in the yellow teeshirt clearly practiced his Steven Tyler facial expression for days. The affectations of youth, trying on new identities like changing his socks. He’ll figure out who he is one of these years. Maybe that big silkscreened cross will rub off on him.
