Well, a big part of Obamacare was that Medicare and Medicaid would have to be killed off, and this seems to be the only thing it has effectively done so far. And if Obamacare is strangled to death by the Republicans, it would be incredibly dumb to resurrect Medicare and Medicaid, because there is no way they can be continued.
Except maybe with block grants to the states, starting with very low federal requirements. And again, because of the Roberts decision, anything the feds want to add to that, they have to pay for.
But this leaves as the big question if this was the case, why had Obama done nothing to Social Security, one way or another?
