Sand sculptor Larry Hudson said it took a team of five people about 3 days to finish the sculpture, which shows the president with his arms crossed and smiling broadly. Hudson said the sculptors finished Saturday just before a large thunderstorm struck, requiring touch-ups.

Brilliant graphic on post #6!
Check it out!
MORE ACCURATELY, it appears the whole ‘sponsor’ of this statue is MYRTLEBEACH.COM, and one could safely assume that the SCULPTOR runs/owns that website.
It’s must a sand sculpture and , like the promises of Obama, won’t last very long.
(geez, my bad)
It’s JUST a sand sculpture......
Why is Charlotte advertising Myrtle Beach? Just asking

When is the last time the libs did ANYTHING that just out and out made sense?
I’m 40 miles SE of Charlotte and we have a major rain storm heading toward the Queen city. Here’s hoping....
“A 25-foot sand sculpture of President Barack Obama brings some of the beach to the Democratic National Convention’s host city. But landlocked Charlotte is nearly 200 miles from the ocean - and the sand is actually from a mine in South Carolina.”

By building it out of sand, the sculpture will 'decay' at about the same rate as Obama during the convention.
The creator of this sculpture is a genius.
Obama at Myrtle Beach earlier ...

How appropriate that mr hope and change has a “monument” made of .....SAND. How firm a foundation for the future.
Do they not see this? Of course not, they can’t even make the connection. For indeed, they are all built on shifting, sinking sand.
“My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus Name.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.”
“My Hope is Built” Edward Mote 1834
Music: “The Solid Rock”
William B. Bradbury 1863
A beautiful version was filmed in the Chapel at Ft. Benning for “We Were Soldiers Once and Young” but was taken out in the final edit. Quite powerful. It is in the outtakes section of the DVD.
“...Apparently (according to an earlier post) even THAT PART of the obama sculpture is A LIE....”
Why should the be any different from everything that’s happened since 12:00 noon eastern time January 20, 2009?
Still think it looks like Jabba the Hut.
