CarMax co-founder and former CEO Austin Ligon, who will be a featured speaker at the Democratic National Convention, says he and his company's 17,000 employees aren't responsible for his billion dollar company, the government is:

As President Obama has said, I didn't do it alone. I succeeded because we had a committed team of CarMax associates working round the clock to build our business. We found ready capital from healthy and flexible capital markets that allowed us to grow. We benefited from an effective national transportation infrastructure that let us move products from one market to another, and we had cooperation and assistance from federal, state, and local governments in providing clear rules of the road that let us plan and grow our business.

He’d better hope Obama loses. Because if Obama is re-elected, every time Obama’s name is mentioned, GOP voters will remember that Carmax helped him with his re-election.

He may stick to his guns, but he doesn't stick by his people. How many have been thrown under the bus once they were no longer useful to Obama?

Austin Ligon doesn't care about the employees, or the financial well-being, of CarMax any more.

He is the EX CEO, and isn't even listed as a major stockholder any more.

I wonder when he dumped most of his shares...

Add a couple of letters to CarMax and you’ve got Carl Marx.

Okay, fascist, we expect that you will now reimburse the millions of taxpayers that invested in your company.

The private sector built and PAID for everything in this country. It is pathetic that our captain's of industry don't understand it or don't have the courage to say so.

Featured speaker is just working out a little “horse” trading! You know, you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.
Of course you can’t do any better than a used car salesman for impeccable honesty, can you?

Isn't that almost the same speech that Tom Stemberg gave at the Republican National Convention about what Romney and Bain Capital did for Staples?

As far as I know, Austin Ligon was the co-founder of CarMax with Richard “Rick” Sharp. Rick is a conservative Republican and has given at least $1,340,087 to Republican and other conservative causes over the years according to www.vpap.org. That site also shows that Mr. Ligon has given $593,749 to Democrats with the exception of RINO Commonwealth Senator Walter Stosch to the tune of at least $10,000. I'm not sure how these two worked together to form CarMax - and live close to one another west of Richmond, Virginia.

he and his company’s 17,000 employees
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

He and his hard working 17,000 employees paid the taxes that paid for, but didn’t build, ( that was contracted to private businesses) the infrastructure that his company uses.

Of course he didn’t build it. He sells USED cars that were built by someone else. A used car salesman that likes 0bama - No surprise!
