I have the chair and the Eastwood quote all ready to go out. I have a tiny dolls chair that I will put on my grandpas’ grave with a little flag and the Eastwood quote.
Grampy would SO want me to do this! Hee - you should have seen the huge sign he used to have in his driveway! Epic stuff.
tomorrow the empty chair get put out on my front lawn, we live in the country so many won’t have the opportunity to see it, hope others will do the same...
VOTE ROMNEY RYAN ON NOV. 6
That is a good idea. We need to get Rush and the other talkers on this so it can be planned and sucessful.
Thank you.
Labor day is a day that celebrates and underscores communist infiltration of this country. I say we throw it back in the face of those apparatchiks like 0bama who value their elitist power and position while sticking it to those of us who work and employ others. The empty chair exemplifies the LACK of 0bama’s and the DNC’s work....or budget...or responsibility...or accountability. Labor Day is OURs, and so is the CHAIR. They have absented themselves and dishonor us as surely as has been Neil Armstrong.
Labor day : History
“In 1882, Matthew Maguire, a machinist, first proposed the holiday while serving as secretary of the CLU (Central Labor Union) of New York. Others argue that it was first proposed by Peter J. McGuire of the American Federation of Labor in May 1882, after witnessing the annual labor festival held in Toronto, Canada.
Oregon was the first state to make it a holiday in 1887. By the time it became a federal holiday in 1894, thirty states officially celebrated Labor Day. Following the deaths of a number of workers at the hands of the U.S. military and U.S. Marshals during the Pullman Strike, President Grover Cleveland reconciled ...(with) leader of the labor movement. Fearing further conflict, the United States Congress unanimously voted to approve rush legislation that made Labor Day a national holiday; Cleveland signed it into law a mere six days after the end of the strike. The September date originally chosen by the CLU of New York and observed by many of the nation’s trade unions for the past several years was selected rather than the more widespread International Workers’ Day because Cleveland was concerned that observance of the latter would be associated with the nascent Communist, Syndicalist and Anarchist movements that, though distinct from one another, had rallied to commemorate the Haymarket Affair in International Workers’ Day.

God love ya’! Your Grandpa, I know, must be proud!!!
You’ve inspired me to do the same to my grandfather’s grave. He BUILT a business. Was the top employer in this little town. He had an 8th grade education.....and built it from scratch. He and my grandmother. No help from ANYBODY!
It was passed on to other generations.
Why not EVERY Monday from now til the election?
It would drive the libs NUTS!!!
If you really want to drive the point home (pun intended), lean an old golf club alongside it....
Remember, the Tea Party caught on after it became an internet meme
Godluvya, combat-boots. Thank YOU for all you do. I keep up with your posts.
I e-mailed Rusty Humphries’ site (it “took”) and tried to on Hannity’s site, (didn’t take) but a thought hit me-—all the “talking heads” of talk radio are off on vacation, no doubt.
All the more important that everyone send this to people in their e-mail address books and their local Tea Party leaders. And, if someone doesn’t know the contact info for a local Tea Party leader, maybe one of their e-mail contacts WILL.
My chair WILL be out.
Another idea-contact your local VFW Posts and alert them about this.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every VFW Post has an Empty Chair out in front on Monday?!?
Better yet, if there is one close by YOUR location, take a damned plastic chair with a sign already attached that says “Empty Chair”. The Vets will know what it means, I’ll bet. (And, everyone else can “google” its meaning when they see it and question it.)
Aw shucks.
Thank you.
G’nite.
I wish that the empty chair idea for Monday would go viral.
Why not put an empty chair on top of you car and drive around town. That would get the message across.
"Go Hope Yourself"
We own this country Politicians are employees of ours
And when somebody does not do the job,
.. weve got to let them go
Great idea. My boys just manicured the front lawn, and I’ve got just the perfect empty chair to set out there on Monday.
Eastwoody
Well, they’ve been told to “Go pound sand.” often enough that we convinced them to do as much....
I’ve seen in the past that when a person isn’t 100% pure, some Freepers just enjoy throwing under them bus. I was curious to see if an exception was going to be made for Clint.
