Both candidates believe in unlimited abortion ~ which is just like killing a baby to those on this side of the argument ~ they really don’t get out of the infanticide problem just by killing babies in the womb.

Yup. Romney was dropped squarely on our shoulders like a pile of crap.

“You dont get it. Romney was not a choice. He was annointed the candidate even before the first primary. The primaries were a sham. And it was all engineered by the liberal elite in the party, possibly including Rove. A conservative candidate had no chance.
Why any real conservative still embraces the Republican Party is beyond me. There is no place in the party for conservatives.”
This is what these blind followers can’t get in their heads. If they do the response, ‘well what are you going to do, vote for Obama’, as we keep sliding downward. Embracing this third world invasion will be the final blow to this country!!

Youre spot on, FRiend. Now it is what it is, but Obama has still got to go. You sound like a card-carrying Romneybot to me. Don't you know that the only way we can "win" now is if we get four more years of Obama, $15,000,000,000,000 more debt, another Sotamayor in SCOTUS, Obamcare forever, and a return to multiple military superpowers? Plus, the man's a Mormon, for Joe Smith's sake.

Pinging you to this article that shows, once again, the deliberate plan to remove Tea Party and actual conservative people into the waste land. The rule allowing the changing of rules, is noted as part of this plan. I knew it had to be so due to the extraordinary, never known before, actions of the rules committee.

"I agree. Many of us are equally tired of the Romney attackers. I wonder what names they use on D.U." And just as many are tired of being called Obama supporters/DUmmies if they fail to worship at Romney's feet. Did you check out the last night of the live convention thread? People were gasping and weeping and moaning about their crushes on Mitt. One person said he was metrosexual but in a good way (WTH?). He was compared to Reagan more than once, and one Freeper said he will be our King David. Now digest that for a moment, and tell me how it's any different from the left building a huge statue of Obama in Charlotte.
Voting for Romney is one thing. But we all know who and what he is. Trying to build a myth around him isn't going to wash. Conservatives are supposed to think----not expire in breathless fits of emotionalism over a political candidate.

Oh, man...so was hoping to read a story about the FBI paying Rove a visit. Rove of all people should know about being on the end of a threat. Independents would have to be insane to vote for the Obama lady.

You might have missed this when you signed up, but FR is a CONSERVATIVE website, not a gop website. As such, conservatives of all flavors post here. Including some such as myself who are not members of the gop, never have been, and probably never will be.
If the gop wishes to nominate anti gun pro abort progressives to represent it, then that’s of course its prerogative. However, if you find it offensive that people who are not members of the anti conservative gop are posting here, then perhaps you should find a website that is more to your tastes.

The primaries were a sham.Wah. Every single person in the primaries had a moment in the sun (and at the top of the polls at one point). They sucked. Bottom line.
Now it's time for reality. It's either whine about Romney not being your pick, sit at home like a sissy or vote Obama out of office.
Some of you act like life is supposed to be fair.

Do you think the fact that five days ago the republican nominee formally announced that he was against the current pro-life party platform on abortion, and that he was personally committed to ‘health of the mother’ meaning abortion on demand, is worthy of conservatives discussing it?

Are you OK knowing that the party manipulated the rules to make sure Romney won?
The Michigan Republican Party (MRP) Credentials Committee voted 4-2 last night to give Mitt Romney both of the state's at-large delegates, State Policy Committee Chair Mike Cox told MIRS today.
Cox was one of two "no" votes on the committee which met via telephone, along with attorney Eric Doster The "yes" votes included GOP National Committeeman Saul Anuzis, a Romney supporter, and MRP Chair Bobby Schostak.
That would put the delegate split at 16 for Romney and 14 for Rick Santorum, after each candidate won 14 delegates apiece in those divided by Michigan's 14 congressional districts.
As MIRS first reported on Wednesday, the MRP was delaying a final decision on the delegate split until after consulting with attorneys.
Cox said that according to the MRP rules, Santorum and Romney should each get one of Michigan's two at-large delegates based on their take of the popular vote.
"I supported Mitt, but the vote was clearly wrong," Cox said of the Credentials Committee. "It's kind of like Third World voting. We published rules and then we voted to change the rules."

You know what? I am TIRED of you negative people. THANK YOU! I agree. I am so sick and tired of all the Romney bashing! What on earth is that going to solve at this point. After hearing his speech I really don't think there was anyone else of the current crop of candidates that would have been better or had the experience and maximum support to go against Obama. All things considered I'm happy with the choice.
