The liberals say they are scared of Karl Rove. They shouldnt be. The former Senior Advisor and Deputy Chief of Staff during the George W. Bush Administration, Rove was called Bushs Brain and is now the Party Boss of the GOP. He is raising up to $1 billion for various Republican Super-PACs, in order to elect Mitt Romney as president. That sounds impressive. But what is he going to do with the money? Perhaps conservatives have reason to be scared of Karl Rove as well. He recently joked about murdering Missouris strong conservative Senate Republican candidate, Todd Akin. Rove -- and Romney had wanted Akin to leave the race because of the comments that he made and apologized for regarding abortion and rape. The controversy over Rove, however, goes far beyond a bad joke to questions about whether Rove actually wants to run a conservative campaign to defeat Obama. Rove made it clear, during the same meeting he trashed Akin, that he doesnt want Republicans to accuse Obama of being a socialist. He thinks Romney can and should win by abandoning conservatives and wooing Obama voters.
Rove, a Fox News Contributor, was quoted as telling a super-secret meeting of Republican fat cats in Tampa, We should sink Todd Akin. If hes found mysteriously murdered, dont look for my whereabouts!

At best, Akins is a vain fool. That is why the Democracts supported him in the primary.
I didn't realize that the election was over. Do you live in the future???
This piece is spot on! Cliff Kincaid is absolutely right about Rove.
What are your names at Planned Parenthood?
You are promoting the first officially, openly, aggressively, pro abortion republican presidential candidate in history, one who is officially rejecting the republican Party Platform on abortion.
"And if a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass 'a hoppin..."
See post 24, mister conservative. You’ve come a long way baby.
You are right. I have been writing about the dangers of Rove since 2001 - but he happens to be right about Akin. That doesn’t make me like Rove any more than I did before, it just means I can be analytical and non-emotional and simply dissect an issue as it comes.
But Ansel, you miss the point totally with that ridiculous statement.
He’s still far far less openly, officially, less aggressively, less pro abortion than his opponent. I know that messes up your whole schtick to admit it, so you won’t admit it, but it’s the truth.
I may wind up doing the same thing this time around - largely because I have lost faith in my fellow citizens' abilities to discern, practice and defend liberty. Lesson not taught, lesson not learned.
Rove’s last hurrah before he sinks into the muck and obscurity. And take your dog whistle with you.
Rove is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I don’t quite dislike him as much as I dislike Obama....but it’s very close.
Yeah, and the vajayjay costume-wearing Code Pink knuckleheads are paragons of pro-life conservative values. and you claim Romney is the bad one. Sheesh.
You talk a big game, but in reality you Paulbots are provacateurs with an agenda and nothing more.
Rove is from the Bush wing of the GOP. He’s irrelevant. Stay out da Bushes.
Three candidates were lifelong Conservative Republicans. Every single one of the other 13 were not.
There were former Democrats, current Democrats, probably future Democrats, Libertarians, Democrat donors, etc. Some had been elected to office; others had been involved in campaigns for other than Republican purposes.
So, it was 13 to 3, and one of the 13 couldn't break 22% most of the time, but there were those others who managed to snag enough votes to make the 3 lifelong folks come up a bit short of a resoundingly large number, and at the same time they managed to make the 22% tallies look serious.
Obviously the Republican party has some difficulty in controlling its brand name ~
If we'd had but the three lifelong Republican Conservatives running we'd picked a leader by late April and that'd been that. The other 13 should have been dumped at the get go.
Then if you live in Missouri go and vote for Obamacare-loving McCaskill.
Not only are you supporting changing the GOP position on abortion, you show how silly you are by labeling people paulbots, you sure don’t read people well.
No, that was a childish statement.
You are promoting the first officially, openly, aggressively, pro abortion republican presidential candidate in history, one who is officially rejecting the republican Party Platform on abortion, you are seeking a change in the GOP with your vote.
