Senior citizens do have plenty to be concerned about, like that $716 billion that Obama robbed from Medicare to pay for Obamacare. They might also worry about the triage Obamacare will force upon them when their health care costs get too high (death panels).
Also of great concern to our seniors is the rising cost of living. In some cases they are forced to decide between food and medical supplies, and this shouldnt be. We worked for years in order to live more securely in our later years, and were watching that security bleed away.
In November, we as citizens of the greatest nation on earth will be called upon to decide the direction this nation will take, whether we stay on the current course and rack up more debt that even our children will never be able to pay.

thanks for posting it.
For decades, our high schools, colleges, universities, and even law schools have not provided that "marketplace of ideas" for student examination and evaluation.
Instead, ever since so-called "progressives" began their steady and ongoing censorship of the ideas of liberty from which America's Declaration of Independence and Constitution were derived, students have been abandoned to seek out sources for such ideas in remote and dusty library stacks, or in rare book stores.
Those who called themselves "progressives" have worked like termites to erode and destroy America's foundations in liberty by censorship of school textbooks, laws to prohibit such ideas from public political discourse, and in various other ways--an effort more far-reaching that 1933's "burning of the books."
But for the advent of computer technology, they might have succeeded.
Now, every senior citizen and every school child with a computer can read the great writings which make up the literature of freedom. A movement called "the Tea Party" may be the result of that technology's impact on ordinary citizens.
Once again, a fresh breeze of ideas is blowing around us, and the "planners," "redistributors" of the earnings of others, and arrogant small minds will feel that breeze as it awakens both young and old to a conviction that "our life, rights, liberty and laws to protect them" come from a Creator, and that makes them "unalienable" by any temporary power we allow to our elected officials. That was the idea encapsulated in our D of C and structured into a document which limited our grants of power.
"The laws of nature are the laws of God, whose authority can be superseded by no power on earth. A legislature must not obstruct our obedience to Him, from whose punishment they cannot protect us. All human laws which contradict His laws we are in conscience bound to disobey." - George Mason, Delegate from Virginia & Signer of the Constitution
Congratulations to Ryan and Romney as they remind us of the Source of our rights, and we must hold them to the underlying premise of our election of them to uphold that central idea underlying their duties under our Constitution.
We might survive cuts to our Medicare, but our beloved descendants are not likely to survive the loss of individual freedom.
They must find ways to remove all the liberal leftists from throughout the ranks of the "non-essential," unelected federal government feather bedders in one fell swoop. That alone would put them on a course of meaningful spending cuts. You don't have to have a "government shut-down," just a bloat "cut-down!"
If the Bushes, especially Dubya had taken out the trash when he took office, we might not have had the Freddie and Fanny calamity and all the rest of the horrible fiscal and financial collapse in '08!!!
Well this conservative is just about disgusted with people calling themselves “conservatives” while they defend a RAT socialized medical system like MediCare, just to win an election. It’s pandering, it’s dishonest, it’s protecting the queen of all entitlements, it’s unconstitutional, it’s intergenerational theft, and it just doesn’t work.
"just to win an election"
What? You want the President to win this election??? You can't turn this entitlement avalanche around in "one fell swoop!" Or in one election campaign. The addiction is far too well established for a correction to happen quickly.
In fact, it's getting harder and harder for any major correction in anything to happen quickly unless we were to abandon our democratic process with a revolutionary dictitorial process and even that would cause decades of painful disruption...
LBJ's great society ain't workin out too well and neither is Greece's, so ours will likely be just as warped for the forseeable future as their's is. At least it seems that way to me. Sometimes incrementalism is simply a necessary evil or we really would just lose it all in "one fell swoop!!!"
Government isn't the solution, it is the problem (h/t Ronald Reagan) and the Left has infiltrated it in ways we may never overcome. It may be permanent and up to us to find ways to avoid it. Or, tell it to go to H*ll, we're not playing anymore, and get ready to secede from a pact that leads only toward taxpayer slavery- if you pay taxes at all, that is.
The only difference between the tyranny of the Soviet and Nazi eras and our own, home-grown variety, appears to be one of color- ours will not have to wear Brown Shirts. "What can Brown do for you?" Well, for starters they can throw the constitution in the trash and declare illegals legal. And fight any attempt to legitimize voters by requiring a photo ID. And take Arizona to court for enforcing the same laws on the books re: illegals.
Bush wasn't a conservative in many ways. But the Left's hatred of him is amusing since he was so often with them, not us. Had Bush found his Veto Pen we may have been sparred the embarrassing communist who now inhabits the White House. Live and learn. With Romney it may be Lesson II. Let's hope we get it right this time, or else.
