At the end of 1839,
Frederic Chopin and George Sand moved into new digs in Paris and settled into an unmarried sexual relationship that scandalized absolutely no one in town. From this period came one of Freds finest creations. This waltz places the waltz beat in the left hand with the right hand phrased in duple time, thus the name.
Chopin: Waltz in A-flat, Op. 42 (Two-Four)
The next two years, Chopin was to continue his high quality of output and produce more masterpieces, but thats for next week.
