Per some posts, Eastwood’s teleprompter got stuck on page 1, so he ad libbed.
Imagine how the libs would have reacted, if he could have stayed on script, instead of doing the empty chair skit from memory.
Rush said today that there was a teleprompter on stage...for the empty chair! Bwahahahaha! He said you can see it in stills.
