No more white cadet pilots for SAA ( South African Airways )

Johannesburg - Cadet pilot training course applications from white men are no longer being accepted by South African Airways (SAA), it was reported on Friday.

SAA spokesperson Kabelo Ledwaba told Beeld that the cadet programme was being advertised online as an initiative to bring pilot demographics in line with the country's broader demographics.

"Only 15% of SAA's pilots are currently black, and this includes Indians and coloureds. The rest are white, and 91% of them are men."

Ledwaba said the airline would appoint male, white pilots when there were vacant posts for which applicants of other races could not be found.

Beeld had asked why white applicants were being rejected across the board.

An irate father had called the newspaper to complain that his son, who had a commercial pilot's licence and met the educational and physical criteria, had been rejected on the grounds of race.

By filling out several dummy applications, Beeld established that the online form had been programmed to reject any white applicants.

The Europeans got there in the early to mid 1400s. The blacks that we know today got there probably in the 1500s to 1800. The earlier blacks were either ABSORBED, invited to dinner, or starved and burned out. All the modern blacks in South Africa are descendants of folks from the Nile river valleys to the North.

One of my European ancestors arrived there about 1620 or so on a boat bound for Indonesia. He reported in his diary that the native people had cattle with large horns. The Sen did not have cattle at that time, but the Nilotics did. Some people have told me there's enough information in what was in the diary to clearly identify them as Shone.

I’ve flown SAA a number of times - it’s an excellent airline. I’ve flown the ones you’ve mentioned as well, and they are all fine. As far as major non-US international carriers go, I probably go with Lufthansa or Air France. Worst in my opinion is Alitalia. For domestic (and if they go there), I’m Alaska all the way...

International Aeroflot isn't so bad. I've heard they have new planes, since I last flew them about 1998, where the major problem was being seated next to a smelly drunk Russian and getting Russian food.

Now, domestic Areoflot flights are another story, and are much more of a thrill.

Perhaps the aparteid era governments of SA were not the nicest or fairest in the world if you were a Black over there but overall, I do say it was a better place prior to the new regime over there. That said, SA could feed itself, defend itself and ran things in a competent way. Two wrongs don't make a right. Mandela and his comrades killed the golden goose. If I was White over there, the first thing in my mind is to keep an M1 Garand and M1911A1 ready to go but the time to fight is passed I'm afraid. I'd rather look at getting out of there and let them stew in their own juices, let them suffer in the world they (Mandela) made. Let's 'em sink or swim. God said, "vengence is Mine," so this is the perfect way to strike back, let Atlas shrug and God and circumstance will take care of the rest.

Well, leaving is the best option but I understand that many over there see it as their home so it would be hard for them to do so. Maybe that's the best option, much like an Afrikanner/Hugenout/other White version of an Israel over there. (There are many French Hugenouts over there too) If I was a libertarian/conservative George Soros type, I'd send over as many M1 Garands and Sherman Jumboes I can find, they'll need them. It hurts me to see the abuse over there, it makes me filled with sadness and later, rage.
