TAMPA-- Former Sec. of State Condoleezza Rice implored Republicans to champion a "compassionate" immigration policy in her speech at the Republican National Convention Wednesday.
"We must continue to welcome the world's most ambitious people to be a part of us. In that way we stay young and optimistic and determined," Rice said. "We need immigration laws that protect our borders; meet our economic needs; and yet show that we are a compassionate people."

What is compassionate about letting in unlimited Mexicans while keeping out hard-working Filipinos, Chinese, Australians, etc?

President Obama has failed that test with flying colors. Carter and Clinton for the title of “Worst Former President Ever”.

I saw a number of "conservatives" gushing over her on Facebook tonight and saying we should have nominated her for President instead. Amazing. People who agree with them on 80-90% of the issues are dirty filthy RINO scum, but a liberal like Rice who is pro-abortion, pro-illegal alien amnesty, pro-Palestinian, and even celebrated Obama's election, is a "conservative role model" and "heroic leader"
Some conservatives are their own worst enemy. I have to conclude the freepers trashing people who agree with them and cheering on liberals are either 1) Completely ignorant on where high profile GOP figures stand on the issues, 2) Deliberately lying to advance an agenda because they act like the left and promote people based on whether the candidate is "good looking" and "speaking well", or 3) Schizophrenic and off their meds.
Good. I hope she stays there. I thought her tenure as SoS was lousy and she turned out to be little more than Colin Powell in drag. Why so many "conservatives" worship her is beyond me. I guess being a RINO is okay if you're a black woman. Lindsay Graham is well to the right of her, and freepers hate him.
