Yahoo news director David Chalian was fired today after he was caught making an offensive comment on an open mic. Chalian was caught saying of the RNC convention, which took place as hurricane Issac hit New Orleans, "They are happy to have a party with black people drowning."
->snip<-
Perusing Chalian's biography, I found this: "As part of the team that traveled to Alaska to produce Sarah Palin's first television interview as the GOP vice presidential nominee (with ABC News' Charlie Gibson), Chalian received an Emmy Award nomination."
This is the infamous gotcha interview in which Gibson stared down his reading glasses at Palin and demanded a definition of the Bush doctrine. It's also the interview in which Gibson confronted Palin with a partial quote and, when she claimed it wasn't accurate, snapped, "Exact words."
GIBSON: You said recently, in your old church, Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God. Are we fighting a holy war?
PALIN: You know, I dont know if that was my exact quote.

Thank You for the ping. :)
As my tagline suggests, the media is emboldened more than ever to be appendages of the Obama re-election campaign and are working feverishly to undermine the convention, its attendees, and its speakers and the campaign itself. Just reading the http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2012/08/29/Day-two-live-blogging-convention and it’s clear cut that the MSM is doing whatever it can to work against us. Creating narratives that are destructive and fairness is long gone in the media.
I don’t recall it ever being this bad. The past decade has taken a real turn for the worse and this year is by far the worst I have witnessed.
They are emboldened. Their efforts can not be underestimated in effectiveness. Especially when so many fewer pay attention nowadays. They get their news from TMZ, MTV, Oprah, comedy shows and the comedy channel, and BET.
According to USA Today, last night Chris Christie and Ann Romney won 22.3 million viewers -- or 22.3 million people who were flabbergasted to learn that the GOP is not represented by RichRacistRapeEnablers WhoWantToEatThePoor AndFelonAbortionTaxReturns. In better news, this was in increase of 800,000 viewers over this same time four years ago. Also, New Media is bigger and much more powerful than it was in 2008, so via any number of ways, who know how many more were able to get an unfiltered look at what we really represent. The reason the media works so hard to smother our message and ideas in nonsense like Todd Akin, is because unfiltered, our ideas are extremely attractive. This is why conventions are so important and why the media would like to see them go away. The media hates the idea of not controlling what the American people are told. This is also why the corrupt media hates super PACs.
I guess I left off the /sarc tag. So sue me. I think someone’s undies are wound just a little too tight. Why don’t you go soak your head and cool off?
You guess nothing - you were made to look like a fool who was in a rush to mouth off and didn’t read the article! Go eat some of your Kansas corn.
Hah! Ain't THAT the truth!!

It’s downright scary. We live in strange times. Foxnews is long gone. They donate to Obama something like 10-1 from host and employee standpoint. Rupert is running scared. The host cockroaches are taking over there, but that has been in process for some time. In the interest of fairness, the channel long ago went westward, leftward, and it has emboldened the rest of the MSM to move even farther left.
LOL...Sorry hun, the only fool around here is YOU.
He's the archetype of the corrupt MSM.
Yep. I consider the MSM to be a slow, constant poison in our society and political process. The election playing field is ALWAYS stacked significantly in the progressive favor due to the deliberate manipulation of public opinion by these snakes.
