Well, so much for 85 years experience
“I’ll drive until I crash” club.
Many seniors are this arrogant.
Maybe his children will take away his keys before he kills someone. He’s driven long enough.
I have heard it is hard to take away a person’s license just because of their age. Don’t know how difficult it really is, but 100???
Several years ago, a 102 year old gentleman had just succeeded in renewing his driver's license for another six years when he crashed into a beauty salon in Sun City Center. When law enforcement arrived, the elderly man pleaded with and begged them to keep his driver's license, because he needed to drive his 82 year old son, who no longer was able to drive.
Hope he wasn’t texting ...
If many states put restrictions on 16 year old drivers, I see no reason to put restrictions on elderly drivers.
My mom is 87 years old, nearly deaf and blind in one eye. Its been a very unhappy task for my siblings and I to tell her she shouldn’t drive any more.
I missed the part where it said the old man was at fault.
Maybe someone ran him up the curb.
His license will be suspended immediately and he will be dead before he sees a judge.
Are they calling for a ban on old people yet?

Only here so far.
In Illinois, after 79 years of age, I think you have to be retested every year. And this is not a written test.
This guy is so old that his kids that his kids probably have been dead for years.
“... a very unhappy task for my siblings and I to tell her she shouldn’t drive..”
Been there, done that and got the t-shirt. It is very difficult. When my husband and I tried to talk my FIL out of driving... he was mad. How could he give up his freedom and independence? He even got his elderly sisters to call us and tell us that his driving was fine... Finally, we told him that it was guaranteed he would hit someone, possibly a child. The lawsuit that ensued would give them his house and life savings. He gave up driving but he was NEVER happy about it. Good luck, PGR88. It isn’t an easy task.
Many seniors are this criminally negligent.
The underlting question is : why is this allowed?
I hope this is another case of driving without a valid licence.
Give the delusional criminal jail time!
I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather.
Not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car!
