Well, I would bet that a wobbling 250 mile wide storm that could have hit anywhere was a major factor in who did/did not show up in FLA.... Not for nothing, but if I won a free trip down to the RNC this week, I would have passed.

Just a comment about this and it applies to both sides of the question.

This country was founded by men who were willing to walk IN THE DARK, BAREFOOT, MIDDLE OF WINTER, SNOW AND ICE, SEVERAL MILES, CROSS A FREEZING RIVER, just to fight a battle with the most highly trained army in the world. Trenton against the Hessians, led by General Washington.

I am beginning to think that is why we are in the mess we are now, there is no one available to put the same commitment to keeping the country going, a little rainstorm keeps us from doing what we should.

Well, your point is well founded, but if it is the difference of me flying down to get stuck in a possible storm to listen to people talk, or me going to work and feeding my family, then it's not even a question.

However, when it comes to taking up arms and fighting for freedom, you let me know where to be and what time and I'm there.

Feeding my family, and fighting to protect my family are two different things, with a completely different set of priorities for me.
