The logical end result of this is that all people named hunter, which evokes mental imagery of a gun, whether first or last name, should change their name.
So should any one else with any kind of controversial sylable in their name. That would include Gunter (Gun), Dickson (D*ck - sexual), Black (racial), Burns (negative imagery), Hunt (gun related), Palmer (touching potentially sexual), Stone (drug related, executions), Armstrong (suggests physical inequality), Peters (sexual), Bishop (Religious), Larson (Theft), Fowler (Unsportsmanlike conduct), Byrd (Offensive sign), Graves (Death), Sharp (too close to knife), Cross (Religious), Cannon, etc...
sigh....
you might as well add “Bacon” to your list.

Arthur Gardner Coons was president of Occidental College in Los Angeles (on the western slope of Fiji Hill) from 1946 to 1965. The administration building was named in his honor, as was a street on the campus, Coons Rd.
Last year, a group of student "activists" complained that because "coon" was once a racial slur, the name "Coons Rd." is racist. They demanded that the street be renamed--and they got their way. It was changed to Arthur G. Coons Rd., but the sign reads "AGC Rd."
