The Romney campaign released these excerpts of Ann Romney's speech, which she'll deliver tonight at the Republican convention in Tampa: Tonight I want to talk to you from my heart about our hearts.
I want to talk not about what divides us, but what holds us together as an American family. I want to talk to you tonight about that one great thing that unites us, that one thing that brings us our greatest joy when times are good, and the deepest solace in our dark hours.
Tonight I want to talk to you about love.
Mitt's dad never graduated from college. Instead, he became a carpenter.
He worked hard, and he became the head of a car company, and then the governor of Michigan.
When Mitt and I met and fell in love, we were determined not to let anything stand in the way of our life together.
I read somewhere that Mitt and I have a storybook marriage. Well, in the storybooks I read, there were never long, long, rainy winter afternoons in a house with five boys screaming at once. And those storybooks never seemed to have chapters called MS or Breast Cancer.

Sorry Ms. Ann,America will lift Her own self up.
Lift up America to what? A watered down version of what Obama has to offer? Mitt’s a moderate at best a liberal at worst.
So they can lift this.
*BARF*
I wonder how Moochelle will top this? The competition will be fierce.
Sounds to me like a really good speech
Sounds good to me, too. But when the haters come out, there’s nothing she could say to impress them.
Tonight I want to talk to you about love.
Wow! I didn’t know Ann was so skilled in the art of comedy!
Romney doesn’t need any of you little people so step a side and let the flip-flopper keep on flipping you the bird.

If anybody buys this attempt at deification of Mittens, I’ve got a other worldly stone artifact of a squid thing devouring a man with ancient cuneiform on it to sell you.
I give all politicians wives a pass..
They married the schmucks seems like that life must be hell
It’s not the lifting up that worries me.
It’s the drop kick that has me concerned.
Ann Romney is a class act, unlike Queen Moochelle.
His goons are trying to take over the convention and crush grassroots choice. Yep, that's lifting up America all right. Sounds almost nobamaesque.
With all do respect Mrs. Romney, I don’t want your husband to lift me up. I just want him to get his government out of my way.
She will be shown as much respect here as Michelle Obama.
ANYBODY BUT OBAMA.. Yes it’s THAT bad.
forget saying anything nice on this site about Ann...
this is only time to bash Romney. with FRiends like this, who needs enemies.
Yup, another bash Romney thread..that is all we will see all through the election.
I think Ann is one classy and strong lady I would rather see in the WH...but you won’t hear that here.
If I wanted to hear Ann bashed I could go to DU.
I will try to keep an open mind about Ann. But the little bit I’ve seen of her, she does strike me as a cold and bitter woman. By bitter....I mean she seems like she feels she and Willard are entitled to .... well entitled to just about anything they want. She doesn’t seem like she really wanted to work for this nomination.
But maybe, I’m just projecting my loathing of Willard onto his poor spouse. My disgust for Willard could be keeping me from seeing Ann objectively. And since Willard has flopped around more than your average Pol....I don’t hold Willard w much regard.
I will say...the Romney’s do have a lovely looking family. And I wish them much luck on their future endevours. I just hope they don’t take the whole country down w them in their attempt to subvert the conservative cause.
