Hold your fire. Did you think I was talking about Republicans? Oh, no. Im talking about the Democrats. That party has been hijacked by the radical feminist fringe. In a way that mimics the imagined trend of the Tea party, the feminists are pushing losing candidates on the Democrats, and forcing them to pick up losing issues in the elections.
This goes from Barack Obama on down. In a jobs election, hes talking abortion.
This has been brewing a while, too. So hold your inflamed commentary about recent events, because this is older than that. Heres a trio of photos I took in the DC Metro system on August 6, here in Virginia:
I zoomed in sequentially so you could see what was going on here? The Chicago gang is taking their regional, extremist values and trying to push them on the entire country. Theyre so out of touch they think they can, or even must, win this election on social issues.
Its not just Barack Obama, either. Look at the Democrat stronghold of Massachusetts. Twice in a row theyve been stuck with absolutely horrible candidates for Senate, despite having a deep bench, as every single House district in the state is represented by a Democrat. Why? Its clear theyre insisting that they elect the first woman to represent Massachusetts in the Senate.
First Martha Coakley, then Elizabeth Warren, both of whom have shown an inability to pull away from Scott Brown in a far left state, because theyre both too ineffective and too extreme even for Massachusetts. And now Barack Obama is being forced to walk the radical pro-abort line, even in a jobs election.
Its not enough for the social fringe of the Democrat party that they win elections. They must make the election be about fringe social views, even if it costs them elections. Its about teaching a lesson, apparently.
The left will never be intellectually honest enough to quit making this abortion debate about women's rights. The debate is really about when one believes life begins and how much value they place on that life. It is a scientific, ethical, and moral debate, not a feminist one
Historically candidates who focus on social issues while the voters are worried about the economy have fared very poorly on election day. The Dems are making a massive mistake making this election all about Abortion.
I guess when your candidates are completely bankrupt of ideas and solutions hail Mary passes to your radical base is all the Dem are left with.
“Hail Marys” to the radical left? An inappropriate comment, I’m sure. I know you meant no disrespect and it was used as an indication of their desperation, but the thought of lefties praying a “Hail Mary”, is not only disconcerting, by ironically somewhat humorous.
I’m sorry, I meant no disrespect to Catholics. I meant to indicate the hail Mary pass play desperate losing football teams used.
The "rape exception" is not about rape, it's about exceptions. Once you admit an exception for a hard case like rape, then you have no grounds for denying exceptions for incest, for hardship, or anything else.
A child conceived as the result of rape is no less human than a child conceived in any other way.
OK. If you get a pair of binoculars and look straight up you’ll see my point sailing clear over your head.
And the GOP will continue to fall for the bait when the abortion issue is brought up. Is it a given that every single democrap supports pro-choice? Of course not but you don't really know since the abortion issue is never brought up when discussing the beliefs of any given democrap candidate.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the GOP has successfully allowed the democraps and the MSM to divide the party on an issue that has been unable to be reversed for the past 35 years..
Only the SCOTUS can overturn R v W and if they haven't done so with the most conservative court since 1937, they won't do it in our lifetime.........
I inew you did not mean disrespect. i remember Roger Staubach’s use of the term, “Hail Mary Pass” when he pulled off a last second win in the Super Bowl for the D. Cowboys. Roger was a product of a Catholic family and education. After he used this term, the idea of “Hail Mary pass” has come to mean a desperation prayer for some yearned for event.
Your apology was not really ncessary, but I just thought the idea of liberals using a “Hail Mary” strategy a bit disconcerting and yet as I wrote, somewhat humorous.
